Alex once again picked up Maira and walked towards the closet. It was a good size, it had two windows for cross ventilation and a door latch on the outside so, she could use her own lock. It's perfect, she thought as she turned a whole circle to size up the entire room, her parents never came to the park so they wouldn't see her.
Alex snapped out of her daze when Maira started growling, even though she was trying to be fierce, she looked so cute. Maira was clearly hungry but, Alex was prepared for this, she had brought her purse along with her.
She decided to leave Maira in the closet, just in case she met her parents. She removed her jacket and folded it in the corner to cushion Maira, gave her a kiss, opened the windows and left, latching the door behind her." Just make sure no one goes in there", she shouted to Andrew
Andrew gave her a double thumbs up with which she set off towards the store. Once there, she walked straight towards the pet aisle, a place she always hoped she would need to go.
The bright yellow Pedigree was the first thing she spotted, ages 8+,2+,0+. How old was Maira?, Alex had never thought about that definitely not above eight, could she be two?. She whipped out her phone and searched, 'two year old pugs'
"Wow, Maira is definitely not that big"she muttered to herself, as she picked up the 200g packet of 0+, sliding her phone back into her pocket. She then bought a maroon collar and short leash to go with it, she smiled when she realized that the collar fit her like a bracelet. She also bought a pink bowl with a label to write Maria's name.
She decided against buying milk since it would get spoiled without a fridge. She picked up a fluffy towel from the home aisle which she would fold to cushion baby Maira. She paid for everything and the huge weight lifted off her chest, she didn't meet anyone she knew.
