"I think the pink dress would look waaaaaaay better on you,"drawled Vivian, she held up the pale pink dress in front of me and examined every angle.

Finally, with a flick of her long brown hair, she clapped her hands and squealed excitedly.

"I knew this dress would look amazing on you!"

I grinned stiffly, every bone in my body tense as every startling bump or thump made me jump in fear.

"-ee? Bree?"asked Vivian, snapping her fingers in front of my face.

"Yes?"I asked in surprise, as Vivian snapped me out of my thoughts.

"I swear, you've been acting really weirdly ever since I started hanging out with my boys,"mused Vivian laughing, humming, she busied herself with flicking through a few more dresses for the Lunarim Ball.

Ah yes, those boys. Even just hinting at them brought chills down my spine. Vivian and I were just entering high-school, being best friends since kindergarten it was no doubt the two of us would continue on to high-school just the same way.

Vivian and Bree against the world, but I had failed to notice during the summer, puberty had hit Vivian like a truck.

Her frizzy brown hair and been straightened and grown out to fall gently near her waist, her skin had cleared up leaving a blemish-free complexion with a pretty smile and doe-like brown eyes, she had attracted those boys.

At first glance, they seemed like your normal high-school clique of cute boys, but they had revealed their nature multiple times behind Vivian's back.

They were obsessed.

Gasping, I felt as if a bucket of cold water had been splashed on to me and an unpleasant tingling feeling was creeping up my spine.

I had to get out of here, now.

"Hey Viv, my mom just called, apparently there's some family thing happening in a few so I have to get home now,"I said hurriedly, gathering all my belongings.

I was already out the store entrance before she could say anything. As I walked down the familiar path to my house, I cursed myself for even thinking that I would have a moments peace with Vivian.

"Stay away from Vivian, okay?"questioned Axel theoretically, his dark eyes glinting dangerously, almost matching his ash-colored hair.

"A-and what if I don't want to,"I stuttered out, trying to act brave.

"Then you'll regret it,"hissed Enoch, hazel eyes glowing eerily in the dark.

A cool breeze blew by, ruffling Enoch's gingery curls.

"Heed my warning dear~ the only reason we haven't killed you is because you're Vivie's best friend,"cooed Jasper, running a hand through his shoulder-length, honey blonde hair he stepped back, winking his brown eyes at me.

The wind picked up, whipping my hair into my eyes, obscuring my vision. When it calmed down, the three boys were gone, leaving a chilling feeling in its wake.
