Chapter 4

I get up at 8 o' clock in the morning to get ready for church.

I go hop in the shower then when I get out I brush my teeth and brush my hair.

I put on my yellow polo with my khaki pants and my black and yellow jordan's.

Me and my mom head to church at 9 o'clock.

After Church I go to Skyler's house.I go upstairs to go to her room.

When I walk in she's sleep still.I walk up to her and I say "Bae, Wake up."

"Hey Ant." She says stretching

"Good Morning babe." I say

"You went to church?" She asks

"Yeah." I say

"Jordan was there?" She asks

"Yeah and he cool with us." I say

When I'm driving I get a call from Ashley

"Hey Anthony." She say

"Hey." I say

"What you been doing?" She asks

"Nun.What bout you?" I asks

"Nun much. "She says

"Kew." I say

"So, you wanna go somewhere on Saturday,but just as friends ."

"Yeah we could do something."

Its Friday,time for our championship game

We head to the gym to face Crenshaw Heights. They have the number 1 player in California,Michael Williams.

When we are getting ready for the tip off. Michael looks at me and says "Aw man I bout to shoot lights out on you."

"Dude you really not that good you're just the best down here not the best in the nation." I say

"Nigga I will shoot 50 on you tonight. " He says

"Yeah right on me." I say

"Yeah you bitch." He says

"YO COACH I GOT HIM!" I say pointing Michael

"Watch me shoot 50 on you." He says

The ref gets the ball and brings it to half court for the tip off.We win the tip off and I get the ball.

"Watch this." I tell Michael

I give him a quick cross then I drive to the goal for a easy layup

"28." I say

Then he comes down and trys to pull up and misses. So then I go deep and put up my hand so Derrick could see me.

So he passes it deep to me then I do a 360 dunk and when I come down I say "26."

We're in the 4th quater with 1 minute left. We're tied 50-50, we took a timeout.

"We have 1 minute left to leave here as state champions if yall want it bad enough I need yall to play like this last game you'll every play.Forget whats on the clock and just like you would play any other time.So put your hands in here." Coach says

We put our hands in then Coach says "Panthers on 3!"

"1 2 3 PANTHERS! " We say

There is 10 seconds on clock left then we're state champions.But it's there and you know there giving it to Michael.

They pass the ball in to him and he immediately heads to the goal and trys to go for a layup but I put my hands up trying to get a charge and he knocks me over but makes it.

While they're celebrating, the ref blows the whistle 3 times and yells "CHARGE ON 24 NO BASKET NO BASKET 2 shots!"

I get 2 shots for us to win the championship.

I go to the line and get ready to shoot my shots.

The ref passes me and ball then I do free throw ritual

DRIBBLE DRIBBLE SHOOT SWISH!

51-50

"1 shot." The ref

Same ritual, same result SWISH!

Warriors hurry up and pass the ball in and they throw it toward the basket.Nothing but air.

We run on the court and we celebrate our win.

FIRST TIME STATE CHAMPS:LONG BEACH PANTHERS

"I would like to present the 2013 High School State Championship to the Long Beach Panthers. " The man says

They give us the championship and we put the championship in the air and start going crazy.

"Excuse me Mr.Carter, Can I speak to you real quick" A man says

"Yes." I say

"I am a recruiter from USC and I was wondering if you would interested in coming to our university."

"Yes Sir Thank you for coming." I say

"Ok now you go celebrate with your team and we will you a call." The recruiter says

"Ma We won!" I say

"Congratulations!" She says

I run upstairs and call Skyler and tell her about the game

"Hey bae." I say

" Hey,how was the game?" She says

"Great We won it and I got MVP." I say

"Oh my god bae congratulations." She says.

"Guess what else."

"What." She says

"A recruiter from USC came talk to me at the game." I say

"FOR REAL THEY CAME TALK TO YOU!" She says

"Yeah they said they were gonna call me." I say

"That's funny because I got a call from USC today too." Sky says

"Sky you serious." I say

"Yeah i'm serious." She says

"Cool so looks like we're both going to USC huh." I say

"Looks like it." She says
