An Affair To Remember

A New Life

Jasmine's POV

I opened my eyes and look on the side of the bed. Nicholas wasn't there. I assumed he went to work. He works at Cedar Springs Hospital as a physician. Before I met Nicholas, I was living in Florida,  I was in a relationship my ex- boyfriend named Noah.

I got out of the bed and took a hot shower. After taking a shower, I throw on a black tank top and grey sweatpants. I went to the kitchen and made myself some coffee. While I was waiting on the coffee, I started placing our wedding pictures on the lamp stands in the living room. I heard a knock at the front door, I thought to myself who would come here at this time? The knock grew louder."I'm coming!" I yelled. I opened the door, my heart dropped. "Noah!" I gasped as he looked at me. The morning sunlight was hitting his slightly tanned skin, causing his features to stand out. His tall, muscular body, his wavy hair and brown eyes glazing at me. "Hey Jasmine", he said as I let him in. I was shocked wondering why he was here after what he had done to me.  He sat down on the couch and staring at me." Nice house", he sighed as he was looking around."Thanks, why are you here?" I questioned him. He looked at me with his precious brown eyes and look down at the frame picture. "You're married?"he asked in an orotund voice while holding the frame." I got married a week ago." I replied. He got up from the couch and walked towards me. "You left me for him!  How dare you!"he yelled. He was staring at me with watery eyes and turned away. " I left you for a reason, you treated me like shit!" I snapped. He kept walking and opened the front door." I can't take this bullshit,  I have to go", he yelled. I walk out the door in silence but it was too late he was already gone.

I couldn't believed that just happened. Why he was here? Why he got so angry? I left him. Did he think I would come back to him? That will never happen.  I decided to sleep my thoughts away.
