The Abandoned Asylum {hiatus}

Chapter 1

"Last day of the year! Next year will be the very last year of high school. Congrats everyone we made it!" Noah says enthusiastically as he places his hand on Andrew and Max's shoulder. Andrew grins and greets his best friend with a chest bump.

"Hey man good to see you. Thought you were staying at home today" Andrew says as he sits down next to an ombré haired girl.

"Nah mate, mum's forced me to go" Noah says, placing his bag on the floor and kicking it under the table with his foot.

At the table sat eight friends. Andrew kissed his girlfriend Hailee and wraps his arms around her tightly. Hailee smiles into the kiss and whispers a few words in his ear which made him smirk.

Noah was chatting with the twins Max and Mark while his girlfriend Ashley was chatting on about what Instagram filter she should use with her friends Trinity and Dymen.

"Hey guys we should totally go watch that new horror movie The Gallows" Noah suggests to his group of friends. They all agreed; they have probably watched over 50 horror movies together since all of them seem to be interested in watching them.

"Sure, when?" Max replies.

"I don't know, sometime soon" Noah shrugs. Andrew opens his mouth to say something but got cut off by the loud ringing of the school bell.

"Assembly" Ashley says and walks with the others. Max and Trinity are the school's captains and coincidentally were dating. The two adjusted their black ties around their neck which was different to the senior uniform. The senior uniform is worn by Year 11 and 12 only. The colours are grey and black with white ties while the Captain and Vice Captain wore the same but wore black ties. Junior uniform is white and blue with a blue tie along with it.

The eight friends watched as around 1000 students scattered all over the place to their roll call lines underneath the large COLA. Each of them situate themselves in their roll call spot.

The rolls finally got marked and Trinity stood up for acknowledgement of country.

"I would like to respect the traditional custodians of this land...."

School is officially over for Reed High School. The eight friends sit in a circle underneath a large oak tree in the park, all drinking some lemonade since it was scorching hot. They are currently listing ideas to do during the holiday break. Some ideas were, a horror movie marathon or go to an amusement park.

"Let's go on a roadtrip to Sydney!" Ashley suggests jumping up and down.

"That's almost 9 hours away. Are you sure our parents will allow us?" Mark asks concerned.

"Well let's go ask" Ashley says. The eight stand up and pack away the blankets and drinks and run home.

Andrew's, Noah's, Ashley's, Hailee's and Dymen's parents were fine with it unless they promise to stick together at all times. However, Trinity's and the twins parents were a bit more concerned and hesitant but agreed shortly after.

The next day, all the girls went shopping together. They went to several shops just to buy some clothes. They would only stay in Sydney for four days but they didn't care; "The more clothes, the better" was their motto.
