Bromance or Romance

Chapter 2

Gray was up before the alarm went off that morning, he couldn't wait to get to class and see Rosie again. He couldn't stop thinking about her, but neither could Ethan. Ethan didn't say anything about it, because he saw how chipper Gray was. "What's got you all happy?" Ethan asked. Gray looked at him and smiled while blushing, Ethan already knew why he was happy. Ethan was having trouble hiding his smiles, he couldn't stop thinking of Rosie but didn't want Gray to know. They finally arrived at school, and went to their first class. When they got there they saw that Rosie wasn't in her seat. The smiling Ethan and Grayson slowly turned into frowning confused Ethan and Grayson. They took their seats, Gray kept looking at the door hoping for her to walk in.

Rosie woke up confused, she looked at her alarm and saw that it read 7:45am. School started at 8:00 and she was 30 mins away. She got up and put on her new shirt she bought a few days ago. She grabbed a bowl of cereal and jumped into her car, she drove to school. She was about 20 mins late, but then she thought about the boys. She wondered if they would care if she even came in today. She walked into class nervous and sat down next to Gray.

Gray looked up and saw Rosie sitting next to him, he smiled so big you would've thought his jaw broke. "Rosie you're here, I thought you were absent!" Gray said trying to keep his happiness at bay. "My alarm didn't go off, and I live 30 mins out." Rosie replied defending herself without realizing. Gray just smiled and said "Well I'm glad you're here." Rosie blushed and smiled at him. Ethan looked back to see Grayson writing and Rosie staring at him. Ethan felt sort of hollow, he hadn't felt that way since his last love. He knew he could love Rosie, they hadn't known her for very long but it was already clear to Ethan that he could love her. During lunch Ethan went to the front desk to find Rosie's schedule. He saw Rosie was in his gym class, they had gym sixth period he had missed it the first day which is why he didn't know. During lunch he planned a whole thing to get Rosie to notice him. He arrived late to lunch and saw that Rosie was sitting alone, he wondered where Gray was. Suddenly realizing this was his chance he got his lunch and sat at her table, she was twirling her fork around her plate. "Hey how are you?" Ethan asked her. "Oh hey I'm good how are you?" she replied. "I'm alright, I'm a little nervous for sixth period though I skipped it yesterday." he said. "Oh what class do you have?" "I have gym I had to miss because I had a dentist appointment." "Oh well I have sixth period gym too, don't worry about it you can be my partner." Ethan smiled after she said that, his plan was already working.

Gray washed his hands and looked in the mirror, he was feeling really happy today. He was a little sad that he only had Rosie in one class though. He walked out of the bathroom and down to the office, he saw the kind office lady sitting at her desk. "Hi I'm Grayson Dolan, the new student." he said. "Oh hello Grayson, I'm Ruth is their anything I can help you with?" she asked. "Well actually yes, I was wondering if I could switch classes." he replied. "Why?" "Well because I don't feel challenged enough." "Alright let me see what I can do, what classes would you prefer?" Grayson looked at the list in his hand and replied with: "First period is good, but I would like 2nd period English, 4th period math, and 6th period gym." Ruth looked at him with happy eyes like she knew what he was up too, she replied with "Sounds do able I'll print out your new schedule and inform your teachers, go to regular classes today though." He thanked Ruth and walked to the cafeteria, when he got there he saw Ethan and Rosie laughing he got his lunch and walked over.

Rosie couldn't stop laughing at Ethan's joke, it wasn't funny at all but it was so unfunny it was funny. Grayson sat down at the table and smiled. His eyes were so dreamy she could just live in them, and Ethan's smile was so contagious. She could tell Grayson was the jokester but she liked how Ethan tried. After lunch she went into the bathroom to think, she looked at herself in the mirror. She thought to herself, *I'm so average looking why are these boys even paying attention to me?* She liked them both so much, and that was the problem.
