Girl Meets Destiny

chapter 1

Riley POV
My backstory:
My name is Riley matthews,
I am 15 years old, my gpa is 4.0, I love painting purple cats and before I moved I had a boyfriend named charlie gardner. I didn't even like him anymore but I didn't want to hurt his feelings so I was really happy when I heard we were moving because I had an exuse to break up with him.
I am just moving from Chicago to Greenwich village, new york. It's a long way away from each other but, I'm ready for change. We got to the new apartment on Saturday and school starts this monday. I can't wait to make new friends!! My mom Topanga, got a job as a lawyer and my dad cory, is a teacher at one of the schools. Today is Sunday so, school starts tommorow. I have spent the last 2 days unpacking my room since we got to the apartment. I also have this cool window that go's out to the fire escape.

First day at school:
Riley POV
I walked in school, looking through my schedule. I have history first I thought and I ran into someone, "me too." I looked up and I saw these amazing emerald green eyes that could put me into a trance.
"you heard that?"
"Yeah I have history for first period too."
"sorry i say what im thinking with ought even knowing sometimes. And for walking into you."
"Yeah about that, watch where you're going next time. K babe?"
"Ok first of all don't call me babe. Got it? Good. Second of all now I'm not sorry for running into you. I can already tell you're a jerk and you deserved it."
"Oooooh. I don't like em easy, I like em feisty like you but withought the ANNOYINGNESS."
"Don't talk to me. okay? I'm pretty sure I'm going to get enough drama."
"Lucas friar. Remeber the name."
He just walked away.

Lucas POV
Those chocolate brown eyes so amazing just getting lost in those forever...lucas what are you doing?!?! She was so annoying. How could you like her?!?! Besides she looks like a nerd...but she was really hot....
Lucas you don't like her!!!...Just great. I get to start off every day with her. Amazing. Who knows what other classes we have together.

Riley POV
I walked into the history classroom. 5 minutes early because I didn't know what else to do. I sat in the front row because in the front row, your first out of the classroom. I am good at school but I don't really like it.I just do what I gotta do.

Then the rest of the class comes in, exept one seat diagnal from me and I notice the only person not here is the guy from the hallway. I was hoping we would be on opposite sides of the classroom. Then the lucas comes in 5 minutes late. I give him a death glare.

The teacher is late too. First day? Yeah nice one. Then he walks in and I notice who it is. MY DAD!!!!!
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!!? "DAD?!?!"
He turned around "Hey riles. Sorry I was late. I was talking to the pricipal."
He said. "Did you have anything to do with the fact that you are my teacher my first period???"
"Maybe. I just want to watch out for you." Then he starts the class and I am kinda paying attention until I hear the assignment. He says "the first assignment will be to get to know your fellow classmates. You will have a partner and you will get aqquainted with them, ask them questions about what they like to do, their family, childhood, then write an essay on it and we will read our essays out to the class.The assignment will be 650 words. The partners will be... miss hart and mr. Babineux.(maya and zay), Mr minkus and miss bradford(farkle and missy, I feel really bad for him), miss Matthews and mr. Friar (you know who they are), miss-" He got cut of by riley and lucas, "What?!?!no!!!I can't work with him/her!!!" They faced each other and said "stop doing that!"

"Im sorry. I can't change the partners." Suddenly the bell rang and they went out into the hallway. Riley went over to lucas and said "when do you want to do the assignment?" She asked, hoping to get this over with.
"Where do you want to meet?" He said. "Let's meet at topanga's. It's my mom's new cafe. I get free stuff." He chuckled. "Ok. Whatever you say babe."
"I told you not to call me that."
