It’s been two days since the janitor’s closet incident with Kellin. Just like usual we haven’t talked, we would glance at each other in class every now and then but other than that we’ve had no contact with each other. I’m sitting in ‘In School Suspension’ by myself with no one but the teacher, Mr. Peterson. Both of us had our heads down on the desk, I was supposed to be doing schoolwork and he was supposed to be enforcing it but neither of those things were happening. The only reason why I’m in here is because I didn’t feel like going to math class but I also I didn’t feel like waiting around in the halls by myself so I just walked past security and they brought me here like I expected. One thing I didn’t expect was for In School Suspension to be empty so now I’m bored just like I would’ve been in the hallways. I tapped my foot on the floor, lifting up my head I huffed already wanting to leave even though I just got in here 30 minutes ago. I heard the door open, glancing over I saw the security man walking in.

“Got another one for you.” The security man said to Mr. Peterson. “Come on.” He looked back in the hall and rolled his eyes at the kid. The kid started to walk in and I noticed it was Kellin. You have to be fucking kidding me. It’s not that I didn’t want to see Kellin because a part of me did after what almost happened in the janitor’s closet but he makes me nervous and I’m usually always calm but his presence changes that and I don’t like being nervous.

“Go sit down over there.” Mr. Peterson said pointing to the desks on the opposite side of the room from me. Kellin looked at me and smiled then proceeded to sit down in the desk directly opposite from me. The security man left and Mr. Peterson put his head back down on the desk as soon as the door shut.

Kellin was staring at me and smiling, not saying anything. He waved at me and I waved back then put my head down on the desk. I couldn’t just sit there having some weird staring contest with him, it felt creepy and also the mere sight of him these days makes me blush. It never used to be like that before, I used to be able to keep it together and not let anyone see any type of emotion from me but ever since he told me he liked me, my mind has just been replaying those words causing me to lose  every bit of saneness inside me and my composure.

“Psst.” I knew it was Kellin but I didn’t look up. He kept doing it then began to lightly tap on his desk. If I didn’t move then maybe he would think I’m asleep or something then I wouldn’t have to talk to him and slip up or say something stupid like I did the last time. I heard a deep groan followed by a chair scooting out.

“Alright, I’ll be back in a little. Don’t do anything stupid.” I heard Mr. Peterson say. I looked up and saw him leaving the room, just my luck. I put my head back down on the desk and my heart began to beat little faster. I could feel Kellin staring at me and it wasn’t long until he would try to talk to me or come over to me.

“Vic.”Kellin said. I slowly lifted my head and looked at him. “Hi.” He smiled.

“Hi.” I said back.

“Whatcha doing?” he asked grinning.

“Nothing.”

“Cool.” He said.

“Yup.” I replied getting silent.

“Why are you so hostile?” he asked.

“I’m not.” I said in an annoyed tone.

“You’re doing it right now.” He started to get up from the desk. I got a little nervous.

“No, I’m not. I’m never hostile.” I sat up in my chair fully.

“Prove it. Let’s play a game.” He smiled. “I’m going to turn off the lights then I’ll find you.”

“How is that going to prove I’m not hostile? And what is the point of that game.” I asked.
