Rella's P.O.V

I woke up and my nurse, Dana, gave me my breakfast. We sat and talked for a while, but I practically know everything about her.

Shes 28 and has a boyfriend named Ben. She wants to have 3 kids, but Ben doesnt want any. She likes taking pictures of me, and often sneaks her camera in to show me.

In other words, this 5' 2'' ginger has became my best friend for the past 2 years. "Dana, pass me the salt."

She laughed at my humor. "You cant have salt, you know that!" I laughed with her, then looked at her expectantly.

"Ah, yes. Your dailey presents. I brought you a couple of magazines that you like-" the consisted of Bop, 17, and People. "- and Olivia bought you a camera!"

She pulled out one of those huge Nikon cameras. When did Livvy get so rich? I took the camera from Dana and turned it on.

The word 'Nikon' flashed on the screen in big words. I smiled fondly. Livvy couldn't visit me as much because high school was getting harder.

I pressed some buttons, and the taken pictures popped up. Livvy sleeping, Our room with clothes all over the floor, Livvy with green sunglasses on and an 'I Love You.' Shirt.

She only took a picture with one person. Our neighbor, Mason. Mason is in Collage, and only visits on holidays. By Olivia's outfit, I could tell it was Easter.

Mason smiled brightly at the camera, and held a chocholate bunny in his hand. Olivia posed as biting the bunny's ear.

I smiled. I miss Mason. Olivia isnt very social, except with me and Mason.

"Oh, honey, dont cry." Dana said, getting up to whipe my tears. I giggled at her mother-ly-ness. I didnt even notice I was crying.

"Dana, go do something productive," I said, still giggling. She raised an eyebrow at my weirdness. "Alright. You have permission to go to the game room."

As soon as she left the room, I got out of bed and walked out of the room, my hospital pole following.

Xander greeted me at the doorway. He had Leukemia too, and has been my friend for a while. He's healther than me (Leukemia wise).

Xander is my age, and is my good friend. He had thick curly brown hair, but lately it's gone thin and wiry. His bright green eyes were a little dull.

He saw my weary smile and automatically pulled me into a warm embrace. I softly sobbed into his shoulder and breathed in his sweet outdoors-y smell.

He got to go outside a lot more than I did, since he was healthier. As I sobbed, he lightly messaged the back of my neck. It was a sweet, calming gesture that he knew I loved.

"What happened, baby?" He whispered softly. I couldnt tell him yet. We had to go somewhere private. He obviously read my mind, because he unraveled me and grabbed my hand.

We walked down an almost empty hallway and he quickly stopped in front of the handicap bathroom. He knocked twice before pushing me in, and then locking the door behind us.

He sat on the floor and patted the clean floor next to him, indicating for me to sit. I sat and he scooted next to me, really close.

He put is arm around me and I layed my head on his shoulder. "Do you want to talk about it?" He whispered into the stale bleeched bathroom air.

I blinked a tear out of my eye. Xander must've noticed, because he took my hand. "Its ok. You dont have to talk about it." I took a deep breath before spilling out the truth.

"Olivia is stealing my life!-" I felt Xander tense. "She, she got into photography! She never liked pictures. Or cameras! Now shes posing with MY best friend. And then sending me the pictures so I can mope-"

Xander turned and grabbed my face. My voice was raw from screaming and sobbing, and my cheeks were moist with saltwater.

He stared my eyes and his eyes lightened. "Rella. I know this isnt the right time, but- I, I think I love you." He searched my eyes for happiness or joy, but they welled with tears.
