Mi Amor, 6/05/63

It has only been un ahora since you and your family have departured yet it feels like forever. The thought of you being away from me in a whole other country scares and saddens me. I have heard rumors that it is not well in some of the camps. At least it is in California, but I am still scared for you. Our english has always been pretty well. But people are cruel and racist especially in America. I hope and pray that you and your family will do well. Mi madre is calling me so I must get going. I will write another letter tonight if I have time. I'll write to you everyday. I promise that.
