Emma P.O.V

It all began when I went to a camping trip alone with a complete stranger as a guide.

In all honesty, it was common to have a guide as a stranger unless I knew the mountains and the trails, which I didn't. He seemed like a professional mountain guide. The only problem is that he is kinda of a creep asking me a lot of unnecessary questions or looking at me with a look.

"A change in the weather eh?" The guide looked at me full of lust as the clouds covered the sun and raindrops fell. I looked at the the guide sneering at me. I inwardly rolled my eyes and shot a smile at the guide. I should of brought someone with me but no, I had to come alone. Usually my family and friends were always great to hang out with but for these two weeks I needed to be alone. I needed some alone time in a tent I awkwardly made and sleep under mother nature. But the change of weather might ruin just the perfect plan.

"I think we should stay inside my cabin, it looks like it might rain for the whole night." The guide smiled and opened the door to the cabin.

I recalled the newscaster saying nothing about rain or thunder when I packed early in the morning. I sighed and looked at the SUV parked next to the guide's cabin. "How about we try to go down the trail. I really don't want to stay here. I'll even pay you more for ride down." I hopefully looked at the guide.

"Ma'am, you have to understand I've been a guide for 12 years I know the weather around here, its gonna rain cats and dogs. We need to stay inside. It's safe." The guide looked at me and smirked.

That sleazy bastard. I wished I could drive. I sighed again and forced myself to enter. The cabin had a kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, a living room with a chimney and a guest room. I gathered my stuff from the entrance and looked towards the guide who was putting wood in the fireplace.

"I guess if we stay here for the night, I'll have to take the guest room." I slowly looked around once more and walked towards the guest room.

Three hours later, more thunder and windy rain clashed against the aging cabin. Defeated, I finally went to my unpacked bags and took out my towel and toiletries decided to take a shower. I walked towards the guest door to ask to use the bathroom. I can't believe my first day in the mountains is with a creep guide, just the two of us. The sudden thought of being alone in the woods with a creepy guide was unsettling and I quickly walked out of the guest room to ask where the bathroom. As I walked around the common room, I looked around for the guide.

"Excuse me?" I spoke to the empty cabin. "Excuse, me can I use the bathroom?" I asked to the guide or at least assuming the guide was in the cabin.

Realizing the guide wasn't anywhere to be seen. I looked out at the kitchen window and saw him. It's was pouring rain as thunder made thunderous noises, but the guide stood outside the open door and sniffed the air and smiled.

What a creepy man. I thought as hurriedly walked to the bathroom and  locked the door. The bathroom was tiny but the big window made up for it. The scenery outside the window was breathtaking. The forest trees were swinging from left to right while the mountains were towering over them. I immediately took out my iphone and started clicking away. For about ten minutes I kept capturing moments of the wind pulling and pushing the trees and the lighting flashing across the mountains.

After washing my face and bushing my teeth. I looked at the mirror. I hope that the rain stops early in the morning tomorrow. And I hope that the guide isn't as creepy as he looks.

I walked towards to door, afraid to open the door immediately, I leaned against the door.

"Yeah, I have her. She's in the guest room, probably sleeping..." The guide was speaking quietly on the phone. "...No, you said you wanted a new toy. I have one so...no you come take it..... but  instead of money I want to taste her first..she is a pretty little thing and probably will get you a lot of customers..Sure whatever...Be here in an hour, okay? Alright. Bye." The guide turned around and went into the kitchen.

I let out my breath as he ended his phone call. What on earth...This can't be happening. I stared at the door as thoughts raced in my head. What the hell. A new toy? Me? What should I do? As panic overcame me I sat myself on the cold ground in shock. This cannot be happening to me. A freaking toy? Me?

I looked outside the window and looked at the door. Suddenly, I heard a door shut and lock. I realized. He locked me in the cabin...I'm being kidnapped.

Breathe Emma....We have to leave before he comes back....

I shot out of the bathroom and ran to the guest room and locked the door.

I looked at the bags scattered on the bed. I took out my phone, army knife, a shirt and pants and lastly a packet of granola bar. I took the smallest bag, dumped the rest on the bed and began stuffing the things I took out. I ran into the bathroom again and turned on the faucet. I took my bag slung it across my hip.

1...2...3 Crash. As it turns out the window doesn't have a lock, so it doesn't open. I threw the chair against the guest room window and jumped out. I ran as fast as I could. I regret that was never was good at Physical Education, especially running.

I ran straight to the same forest I peacefully took pictures only moments ago.

I can't see...

The slowly sun disappearing behind the clouds and the windy rains did not help my vision as I ran without direction through the woods. The more I went in the trees the more slower I got. I stopped and leaned against a tree.

The guide probably won't be far behind plus I only have any hour before the guide's buddy come.

All of the sudden the emotions suppressed by fear lashed out in angry tears.I crumbled down on the forest ground and the very first time cried wishing I had listened to my grandmother.

Why me!! I thought as wet hot tears rolled down my cheeks. What did I do wrong to anybody? I lived with my friend and do pay my bills. I got straight As and went to college. I was a nice person all along in my life!!! What did I do to deserve this!?!? I want to live. I want to see my family again. As tears fell down I thought about my only family my grandmother and friend/sister Grace.

After crying out my tears I looked around the forest. It was quieter. The sun was coming out of the clouds and the pouring rain became droplets of water. I looked at the presumed direction of the cabin and started walking away from it.
