I woke up in a pure white room tied to a bed. There were wires coming out of about every 2 inches of my body. Nurses and doctors rushed into the room, asking questions and doing tests. I sat there in shock. I stared at the blank wall. "What happened? Where am I?" I ask a nurse. "Lay down. You are ok." She said trying to put my head down. Wasn't I tied when I woke up? I looked at my sides to see the shredded leather that held me before. I slowly leaned back and closed my eyes. I must be mistaken. I thought just before passing out again. The next time I woke up I felt like a scorpion was repeatedly stabbing my lungs. I looked up and realized that I was tied down with metal chains. I also noticed that there was a black blanket on me. It looked like it was moving. It was! The blanket was a bunch of hairy black spiders the size of my hand! I screamed and writhed. A nurse came in. "Shhhhhh." She said, gently. I looked down again to realize that I was ok. No spiders. "I'm going to get your shot." The lady said. She left. I lifted my hands and felt a tug. The chain snapped. Suddenly an alarm was blaring. With my hands free I covered my ears. I screamed as loud as I could. I looked up. "I have to get out of here." I thought. Or maybe I said it out loud. It didn't matter. I stood up just in time to see a door open. A door that was concealed in the wall. I leaped onto the man that walked in and sank my teeth (witch were sharp like a dogs) into the soft flesh of his neck. A small whimper slept out of his mouth as the warm metallic taste of blood reached my tastebuds. His body went limp. His eyes rolling into his head. I stood up, blood dripping down my chin. I ran through the door not knowing what awaited me. I was in a hallway, a dozen or so identical doors spread out in front of me. I ran three or four steps before thinking to release everyone else. I opened every door at I ran screaming behind my to run. I almost ran directly into a nurse. She looked at me startled and reached for her pocket. "I'm sorry. I can't let you alert them." I whispered. With one quick move I ripped out her throat and her pulse stopped. I wanted to stay. Wanted to drain her. But I resisted the urge and ran to the door. To freedom. What was happening to me? Why did I crave the blood? The sweet, metallic thick ichor. I had no idea. No clue how my teeth got so sharp. How I got here. The light was blinding. Looking around i speed towards the building farthest from my prison. Farthest from my captors. Once I got into the building I stopped. There was a news paper stand next to a front desk. The date made me gasp. It was five years from when I remember it. That meant I was sixteen years old. I grabbed the first news paper and noticed the headline. "Police give up search for Selina Armant". I kept reading.
"Police gave up the search for 16 year old Selina Armant after a painful five year search. Officer Dylan Stangard claims that if the girl hasn't showed up yet she is most likely to be dead. Selina's mom passed away last year after an unknown person shot her through her window. Police are investigating the murder. Selina's father has put up a fight after informed of the closed case of his daughter but the police station has ignored his attempts and..." I stopped reading because a woman walked in. "Hello, miss." She said with a heavy accent that I couldn't place. "I...I was just. Hi?" I replied. It had been strange talking after so long. I found myself wanting to fix my hair and hide the white jumpsuit that I was wearing. "It's sad. That poor girl. My daughter had bee best friends with her. Before..." The lady gestured to the newspaper still in my hand. A tear rolled down my cheek. "What is your daughters name?" I asked. "Marilisa." She responded. "Mrs.Underwood?" I asked remembering my best friend that I'd known since I was three. "Selina?" She said. I nodded. Mrs. Underwood leapt over the counter and wrapped her arms around me. She pulled back her hands still holding my arms and called Marilissa. She rushed into the room. "Yes?" She said. This time it was I who rushed to hug her. I began to cry into her. "Selina?" She asked. I nodded still grasping her. She wrapped around me and I gasped. Pain shoting up my spine. I callapsed onto the floor. Screaming and writhing. Marilissa bent down next to me. "Get a pillow!" She told her mom. As soon as the words were out of her mouth her mom was handing her a pillow. She placed it under my feet and the pain went away. "I geuss you started taking those nurse classes, huh?" I said once I caught my breath. She giggled but it was forced. "Let's get you changed." She said. I got up slowly and followed her to her room. She handed me a nice dress and I instead grabbed a t-shirt and some jeans. "Well then. Now let's go see your dad." She lifted up a metal comb. "Damn it!" She said. The scent of blood filled my nostrils. My stomach growled. "I'm going to the kitchen to eat." I said. I left as to not eat her. Just my luck. Mrs. Underwood was in the kitchen. Before I could stop myself I pounced. A scream was cut off as I ripped her throat out. Her blood pooled around the white stone of the kitchen, staining it. Her brown eyes rolling up in her head as she slumped down. Her hair sticking to the blood. I spat out her throat and began to drink. I was so thirsty. To thirsty. "What are you doing?" Marilissa screamed from the door. I looked up at her, blood dripping down my chin. She was pressed against the wall as far as she could be. Tears were running down her olive cheeks. "I'm sorry." I said, the words were forced out. Warm blood soaked into my pants. I ran. I looked insane running from the house, covered in blood and tears. I ran all the way to the forest outside of the town.
