Natsu's P.O.V

Year 777

I woke up and saw the break of dawn. My eyes were still closed but I could feel the sun rays touch my skin. I shivered as I felt a slight breeze. I reached out in search of warmth from my father Igneel. I opened my eyes to find that my father wasn't here.

"Igneel?"  I called out. But there was no response. Only the sound of the birds in the distance chirping.

I lifted my head to see if I would spot my father. But there was no sight of him.

"Igneel?! Where are you?"  But there was still no response.

I got up to search for my father and felt the soft grass beneath my feet. I was beginning to get worried. He never left me alone this long. I tried sniffing out his scent only picking up the scent of fresh pine needles.

After all, it was a forest located in the middle of nowhere.

My father and I have never been close to a humans before. I've always wanted to encounter one but my father has warned me about them. He says they wouldn't accept us for our kind.

Because we're not humans, we're dragons...

According to humans, we are the enemies. And we always will be.

"Igneel! Come out already!"  But there was still no reply. I was starting to get worried.

*time skip*

I don't know how much time has passed by but the sun was now high up in the sky. I've walked for a long time and I dont know where I am.

"Stupid Igneel... Making me look for you without giving me food."

And yet, I'm still worried.

When the growling in my stomach couldn't be avoided anymore, I decided to look for food.

I gathered up a few berries but that wasn't enough for my stomach.

I needed REAL food.

Us dragons needed protein in our bodies. To keep our scales healthy..

At last I found a river and only one though came to me...

"FISH!"

I sprinted as fast as I can to the fresh water. I was O.K at fishing but not as good as Igneel was.

I finally spotted a fish close enough to catch and grabbed it. Letting my sharp claws pierce through its skin. And due to my hunger, I ate it raw.

When I finished, that's when I noticed my surroundings. The sun was now setting. I was standing in an open meadow with the tall grass making it up to my knees. The sky was growing darker and I can see a few fireflies appearing.

But that's not what caught my attention.

A large castle, completely made out of stone, stood proudly at the end of the meadow.
