Lucy's pov

I kept my self busy with preparation for the full moon for the rest of that week. But the funny thing was everywhere I turned Daniel was there. Whither it was in the cul-de-sac, the lab at the pack office, I couldn't even escape him when I got home. To say I thought he was stalking me was an understatement. And whats worse, each time I run into that man I almost plow right into him almost touching him. Its like something or someBODY is purposely doing this.

I was finally alone after an exhausting day feeding female pack members who are in heat the medication to suppress it. I tiredly lay my head on the back of the office chair, I sighed loudly rubbing the bridge of my nose. I straightened up and saw the paper work that was overflowing my desk and onto the floor.

"I hate to admit it but I think I need some help." I said out loud to myself

"Hey matt what are you doing?" I asked via mindlink.

"Oh playing with max, why what do you need?" Matt said full beta mode.

"Oh nothing, enjoy you're time with you're son, give toni kisses for me." I said in return.

But- I quickly closed the mind link with matt not rebutt.

"Well it looks like im doing it solo." I thought.

"Why not call the third in command, that handsome daniel." My wolf sheba said in my mind.

I shook my head at my wolf " because these papers have to be signed by the alpha or the beta. Sheba you know this." I said tiredly.

"Well he would be an alpha if you would just let me mate with him." Sheba said cheeckly

"You know damn well we cant do that. Do you not remember the man who stinks of pure evil and has a grotesque face." I said nearly losing my patience with her.

"Yes, how could I forget? Our mate will protect us." Sheba said confidently

"DO YOU NOT GET IT?!?! He said he would level the ENTIRE earth unless I was to go with him. You know very well how strong he must be to have killed mother."I said choking a bit on the last bit.

Sheba said nothing in return just retreated to the back of my mind.

I felt my nose grow pink, it always did when I got upset. Even bringing my mom up brought up painful memorys.

"No you will not cry Lucy Edwards suck it up." I said chastising myself

Moments later my nose grew back to the normal white color. I re- focused on the mountain of paper work, buckling down.

A loud knock sounded on the other side of the my office door.

"Who is it?" I asked my alpha tone present.

I did not want to be interrupted today unless it was an emergency.

"Its Daniel. May I come in?" Daniel asked

"Enter" I said shortly returning to my paper work.

Daniel entered my office and closed the doors behind him.

"What is it you need Daniel?" I asked impatient to get him and his mouth watering scent.
I felt heat slightly pool.

"Damn full moon and mate hormones." I thought in my head raining myself in like always.

"I just thought you might need some help" Daniel said eying the large stack of paper work piled every where.

"No thank you daniel, you can not sign these. Only an alpha or beta can." I said trying to be nice about a simple fact.
