Heather sighed when he heard his uncle call him from downstairs. "Heather Larker! Could you come downstairs right now?" He heard his uncle yell. "Yeah, I'm coming!" Heather yelled back. He closed his laptop and walked out of his room, down the stairs. "Ah, Heather! There you are! Wanna get some pasta?" His uncle asked. Heather smiled and nodded. "Well, come on. Let's get into my car" Heather's uncle walked out of the house, towards his car. Heather followed him.
"So, what kind of pasta do you want today?" His uncle asked while they were driving towards the pasta shop. "I feel like spaghetti" Heather answered. "Yeah, me to!" His uncle smiled and parked the car in front of the pasta store. "So, did you finish your essay yet?". "Nope, someone interrupted me" He answered. His uncle laughed. "Sorry about that, kid". "It's okay, I was about to take a break anyways". His uncle nodded and walked into the pasta store. Heather followed him and they walked directly towards the spaghetti section of the store.
"Hey Harry!" Heather heard someone say. He turned around and saw Berry Fane Hatson. It was the girl he was crushing on for a very long time. "I knew it was you! From your lovely brown hair" Berry said and she smiled looking into Heathers blue eyes. Her parents named her Berry Fane, but everybody calls her Faith. Just like everybody calls Heather, Harry. Well, except for his uncle and aunt. Heather blushed and laughed a little. Berry Fane shared her love for pasta with Heather and his uncle. They first met in this pasta store. "How have you been?" Heather asked. "I'm good! Thanks for asking" Berry said, she smiled her lovely smile. Heather nodded. "Heather, do you want spaghetti bolognese?" Heather's uncle asked. "Sure" Heather replied. "Well, I'll keep going" Berry said. "Okay, talk to you later".
Heather walked to his uncle. "And?" His uncle asked. "And what?". "Did you ask her out?". "Eh, no..." Heather said and he looked at the ground for a moment then he looked back in his uncle's green eyes. His uncle sighed. "Don't be shy boy, no need for that! You're a great kid, I'm sure she wants to go on a date with you" his uncle smiled at him. Heather smiled back. "I'm just waiting for the right moment". His uncle nodded and started to walk to an employee of the store. "Hello, this one please, with bolognese sauce". The employee nodded and walked to a pastapan. He made the spaghetti, putted it in a box and gave it to Heather's uncle. "Thank you" Heather's uncle gave the man $10. "You can keep the change" he winked at him in a friendly way. The employee smiled and thanked him.
Heather and his uncle walked out of the store. And then it happened. A robber ran and bumped into his uncle causing them both to fall on the hard, dirty floor. The spaghetti was spilled out over the floor, also covered in dirt. Heather didn't know what to do, it all happened so fast. He heard his uncle scream bloody murder. Below the robber and his uncle started to form a small puddle of blood. The robber grabbed his car keys and drove away in their car. Heather could only watch. With his eyes widened he looked at the stab wound in his uncle's body. "U-uncle? A-are you going t-to die?" Heather sobbed. "Probably" his uncle said and he tried to laugh but it was cough with blood. "Kid, listen to me" Heather's uncle started. "Could you promise me something" Heather nodded. "Promise me, you'll eat this spaghetti, and ask out the Hatson Girl" he began to close is eyes. "I-I promise" Heather nodded. His face was stained with tears. His uncle smiled and closed his eyes. A single tear escaped his left eye before he took his last breath.
Heather cried, screamed and he fell onto his knees, next to his uncle, who was breathing just a few seconds ago. People started to come out of the pasta store and the houses next to it. They had been watching the whole thing from the windows. Heather felt a hand on his shoulder. He turned his head and saw Berry, her face was stained with tears to. Her mascara wasn't waterproof and was smeared over her cheeks which made her look like a panda. Heather smiled at her. It was a fake smile, and they both knew that. Heather looked back at his dead uncle.
A police car arrived at the scene. Two police officers stepped out and looked around. "What happened?" One of the officers asked Heather. "Some robber stabbed him" Heather said and his sadness started to change into anger. He stood up and collected the spaghetti into the box it used to be in. "What are you going to do with that?" Berry asked pointing at the spaghetti. "It was his wish" Heather simply said. He started to walk away. "Hey! Mister! Stay here, we have to ask you some questions about the stabbing!" A police officer said. "Let him, he's traumatized and just needs some time on his own. I'll give you his address" Heather heard Berry say.
Berry knew where he lived?
He couldn't help but smile. "Okay, thank you miss Hatson" the other police officer said. Heather couldn't hear the conversation anymore, he was to far away. Heather walked into a park and sat down on a bench. He sighed, opened the box of spaghetti. He looked inside of it. The spaghetti was covered in dirt and blood. Is he really gonna eat this? He heard there are rumors about the place. Before there were the houses and pasta shop, there was a dump. A dump full of radioactive material. Heather sighed. He promised his uncle he was going to eat it. "It couldn't be that bad, right?" He said to himself. "And I'm hungry as fuck". He shrugged and ate a bit of the spaghetti. It wasn't bad. It tasted like spaghetti what wasn't covered in dirt and blood.
Heather sighed, stood up and walked towards the place he called home. From the outside this house looks impressive, it has been built with white pine wood and has grey brick decorations. Tall, half rounded windows add to the overall look of the house and have been added to the house in a mostly symmetric way.
"I'm home!" Heather yelled when he stepped foot in the house. His aunt walked out of the kitchen. She was wearing one of her fancy dresses. The dress leaves her shoulders uncovered, instead it's supported around her neck and flows down into a delicate semi-sweethear neckline. The dress' waist is broad, but it's a slim fit. Below the waist the dress fits snug around her and has a fish tail style. The dress reaches to just above her ankles and is slightly longer at the sides.
"Hello Heather! Where's your uncle?" She said. "He died" Heather said and he started to cry again. "What?" She said. "You're joking right?" Heather shook his head and walked upstairs, to his room. He just wanted to be alone for awhile.
