Don't forget about me!

You were running through the halls of the Jedi Temple, desperately looking for this one person, so that you almost forgot about everything else. While you were searching you even bumped into some fellow Jedi's, but you didn't care about that at that moment. Your mind was fixated on just one person. Anakin Skywalker. You had to find him – quickly!

You just heard from your Master (M/n) that the council decided that Anakin will accompany Senator Amidala back to her home planet Naboo, to protect her from the recent threat. The striking thing about that is, that this will be his first mission without his Master.

But this was not why you were searching him so desperately. This was not why you didn't want him to go. The first thought that came to your mind was not that he could be in danger or that he was not ready – like your master thought. No, the reason you wanted to stop him from leaving was far more selfish and egoistic. It wasn't that you didn't want him to leave, but that you didn't want him to leave with Padme Amidala. Especially not alone without Master Kenobi.

You've known Anakin for a long time. You two have met shortly after he started his training as a Padawan learner. It was quite a surprise to you and the other younglings when the new kid was introduced to your class. It was really unusual that someone started the training so late. But unlike the other younglings you didn't act superior towards Ani, because you were more progressed in the training than him, but were friendly to him and helped him out. And so the two of you became great friends. Over the years the two of you went on quite a few missions together and helped each other with the training. While Ani was way more Force-sensitive, the lightsabre combat came more natural to you, so you both completed each other quite well.

When puberty hit you, you started to recognise that your heart suddenly started to beat faster when Anakin was near you and that you got way more aware of his presence. First you couldn't classify those feelings but soon you realised that what you felt for Anakin was more than you would feel for your best friend. But even though you knew you had a major crush on him, you never acted on it because of the Jedi code, which forbids any kind of attachment and the fact that you knew that your feelings weren't mutual. Ever since the day you met him, Ani never stopped to talk about how beautiful Padme is and how he misses her. It was always clear to you that for him it would always be her and never you –and it hurt! But you thought you could deal with it. You planned to keep your feelings secret, because that way you would be able to stay by Ani's side forever. But forever was cut short by this mission. Your plan included that Anakin also couldn't be with Padme because of the Jedi code. But with this new situation and knowing Ani and his preference for "bending" the code, it was most likely that he would make his move on Padme. And as selfish as it sounds, you just couldn't stand the pain to watch Ani being happy with another woman while you had to play the Happy-Go-Lucky best friend.

That is why you were so desperately looking for him. This was the last chance to confess your feelings to him. And even though you knew they were not returned, you had nothing to lose. You were going to lose him anyways, so why should you not tell him the truth? But the time for that was almost up. They were about to leave any minute from now and that's why you had to find him quick. You jumped your way through the crowd and rounded the next corner. This was the moment when you bumped so hard into, that you fell back onto your butt. You were about to unleash a lecture to that person, that it is rude to knock down other people (even though it was totally your fault) when you looked up and recognised who the person you crashed into was.
