Chpt.12 Phone Calls

I snapped my phone shut and walked out of the arena to bright flashes and loud screams my name was called in every direction

"Jess Will you take a picture with us?"

"Of course" I smiled

I grabbed her phone and smiled and took the picture and signed a few things. This went on for an hour till I had to go.

We were heading back to the hotel so I called my mom. The phone continued to ring until I heard her sweet and calming voice

"Hello?"

"Hi mom!"

"Hi baby girl"

"I miss you mom"

We arrived to the hotel and everyone got out except me

"I miss you too Jess"

"So...uh how are you doing with uhm everything??" I felt a pinch behind my eyes before I felt warm tears stream down my face...she sighed I knew this wasn't gonna go well...

"The uhm the doctors estimated that I have two weeks to live..."

I felt my knees get weak...my phone dropped to the floor and so did i, I started screaming and I feel to my knees crying...just then Justin walked in...

"Jess what's wrong?" I reached for my phone and pulled it to my ear

"Mom you still here?"

"Yeah" she said through sniffles

I cried even more and I felt strong arms wrap around me so I buried my face into his chest.

"Jess I have to go be strong for me I know its hard but please be strong"

"How can u be strong I lost dad and know I'm losing yo"

''I know Jess but please try....but I have to go I love you"

"I love you too"

The line went dead and I closed my phone. I cried more and Justin comforted me.

"Jess...are you okay?" He finally broke the silence

"No actually I'm not"

"What's wrong?"

"Everything Justin everything is wrong nothing is right!" I cried even more and he hugged me

"Tell me what happened I'm here for you always"

I sighed and looked at him, He had a very serious expression on his face so I started to tell him. He looked at me in disbelief then I said those four words that caused me to cry every time I told someone.

Justin's POV

"That's not even the worst of it...."

I looked at her confused what can be worst the losing her dad in a car accident?

She took a deep breath

"my uh my uh my mom...my mom has cancer...and she uh.... She has two more weeks to live..."

Jess's POV

I felt my heart Drop and I felt that pinch behind my eyes until the tears fell again. He looked at me in complete shock... He wrapped his arms around be and I cried a little more. We sat I'm the bus a little longer and I felt safe with him.

"I think We should head back to the hotel." I finally said breaking the silence

He nodded his head agreeing with me. We walked back into the hotel I felt his hand clasp with me so I intertwined our fingers. He looked at me and I smiled back

Justin's POV

I was surprised when she intertwined our fingers..all I could do was smile I got butterflies around her...I've never felt like this with any girl..but why Jess..she's beautiful and sweet and has an amazing personality and the fact she was playing hard to get made me want her even more..but I got her now..will that change? We got into the elevator and hit the highest floor which was 26 we were almost there when the lights started to flicker then the power finally went off... Before I knew it...we were stuck....in an elevator which just happened to be dark....I heard Jess scream and felt her grab my waist and hold me tight.

Jess's POV

Then lights started to flicker around the 20th floor and before I knew it the lights went off and the elevator came to a halt I started to scream and I turned to Justin and hugged him..

"Im scared Justin..."

"Its okay Jess...I've got you"

The elevator starter to rock I could hear people in the elevator next to us panic.

We sat down again at the wall and tried to keep calm..I leaned against Justin's chest he was panicking... I forgot he was claustrophobic I turned to him and whispered

"Everything's gonna be alright"

He hugged me.

"So now that were stuck in here...what did you want to talk to me about?"

"Oh its nothing now.."

"Come on Justin please"

"Its nothing now..your not mad at me any more..."

I giggled just then we heard someone trying to pry the door open.

"We will get you guys out soon just remain calm" the voice said.

I laid back on his chest. It was quiet for a moment

"So what would you label us...as in....me and you...." Justin broke the silence.

I bit my bottom lip and thought about it for a moment.

"Let's not label anything yet let's...lets just go with the flow and let what happens happen and just gob with it okay?"

He smiled and nodded his head

"Okay"

The elevator started to swing again before we heard a whirling noise the power came back on and the elevator jolted to a start.
