Hi! So before I start off the story I just wanted people to know that the reason titled this chapter 'part 1' was because the chapter was way too long so I just decided to do it in parts. Ok enjoy :)
She had met the boy in her first year of school and in there second year they grew close while away on a school trip and had then began somewhat of a friendship with him.
It was in the girls third year that she realised she had feelings for him when he skipped lunch with his friends to wait in the office with the girl while she was ill. The boy told the girl funny stories that made her laugh and they joked around in the office, pushing each other off chairs, ate food and played games on each other's phones. When the girls mum arrived to pick her up she didn't want to leave. She laid in bed when she went home wishing she could go back in time to repeat the day all over again. The girl wanted to feel sick everyday if it meant she got to spend even a little bit of time with the boy.
Winter came along and they grew even closer. They would have snowball fights, they started sitting beside each other in classes and they started texting each other.
It was drawing to the end of the school year and when she was in Sophie's house, she got a text from the boy. After about a half hour of texting and the boy noticed something was wrong and after a good while of convincing him that everything was ok, the girl finally opened up about everything and it felt really good to talk to him about it. Never in her life had the girl had someone to confide in until that day! She ended up telling him everything; about her mothers past, the girls fears, her stepfathers health, her suicidal brother, her depressed other-brother and what happened with her grandad.
You, the reader may be thinking the same as the counsellor by now; 'why would you tell someone problems that aren't even your problems (eg- the girls suicidal brother or her mothers past) Well all of these things had affected the girl in some shape or form emotionally and physically. It felt so good for the girl to open up about everything that was dragging her down. It was like a massive weight taken off her shoulders. She had been talking to the online Samaritans via email for the past year and it was 10 times better talking to a person she knew rather than a stranger behind a computer screen. The girl was grateful of the Samaritans but still, it was much better to talk to someone she knew.
After a couple of weeks of talking with the boy, the messages became more flirty, nothing too extreme but the girl felt he really cared for her now and so did her friend Ellie. The girl told Ellie everything that the boy had been sending her and Ellie was convince that he liked the girl. Ellie was the only person who knew of the girls feelings for the boy. Maybe it was a mistake to tell her because after that night everything was ruined...
