A different way to shadow kiss (Vampire Academy)

Chapter 10

JPOV.

"I don't care what you have to do Abe, find him," I snapped at my daughters father through the phone. Dimitri has been gone since last night and haven't been back. Everyone is going crazy trying to find him and trying make Rose talk. She's been cooped up in her room since he left, sometime we would hear loud sobbing and other times she'd be quiet or yelling and breaking things. It took all my will power to not break down the damn door. Stan said that he and Yuri tried but the door was fucking to thick to break down.

"Janine, what could you and Belikov have done to cause this ruckus?" he ask. Personally I don't see it as any of his business.

"Nothing that's you damn business! Now find our son in law!" I shrieked into the phone.

"Damn still so feisty, I see," I hung up the phone on him, he can be such a pain in the ass. All the reason I fell in love with him. 

I sat in the kitchen waiting for almost an hour and Abe hasn't call back about Dimitri's whereabouts. God! Why does this family have to be so goddamn stubborn. 

****Ten minutes later****

Dammit I've had enough! I match up the stairs and and started banging on Rose door. "Rose open the door and stop being so goddamn stubborn," I tried to pick the lock but damn Abe has the house like a prison. "Rose honey, talk to me okay? Fine if you don't want to talk to me then at least talk to Lissa.... Just want to know if you're okay?" After a minute of standing there she opened the door to let me in.

I quickly walked in not wasting anytime. She was sitting on the floor with her legs pulled up to her chest and her arms wrapped around them. "Oh Rose," I whispered sitting next to her pulling her on my lap. She cried for almost an hour as I rocked her back and forth murmuring to her that everything was going to be okay.

"I'm sorry mom," she said pulling away from me but still sitting on my lap. "I don't know what got into me last night. It's like my brain was working on different standards. It's like I couldn't control it," Oh dear.

"It's okay Rose everything will be okay. I promise," I kissed her head softly. "Dimitri loves you and he'll forgive you. He's a great man and would be a fool not to forgive you. Just tell him the truth, Rose and everything will be okay, we'll help you no matter what. Okay?" She nodded her head and turned away from me. "Rose, what's going on?"

"Nothing...Okay I'm pregnant. Since am shadow kissed I can have kids with Dimitri," she said. What the hell.

"My god Rose. Have you lost your mind? You haven't eaten all day and you're pregnant with my grand baby. You need to eat something for the baby or something might happen," she looked scared and started shaking her head madly I thought that it was going to fall out.

"No! Not again!"

"What do you mean not again?" I ask.

"When we first came here I was two weeks pregnant and I lost the baby," she whimpered crying into my shoulder.

"It's okay sweetheart. You need to take more care of yourself and eat more for you and the baby if you want to have this little one," I said brushing her hair with me hand. "Come on let's get you something to eat," I helped her off my lap and stood up.

"Mom?"

"Hmm?"

"Can you not tell anyone about the baby. Dimitri and I want to make sure that this one can go past the first trimester before we tell anyone," she mutters the last part automatically laying a hand on her stomach.

"Of course," I said wrapping my hands around her leading her to the kitchen. 

I made Rose something to eat and myself. After she was done I took her back to her room to get some rest. I made my way down stairs clean the kitchen. I told everyone that I was going out for a drive and went to find my son in-law.
