Chapter 10
Nathan’s POV
I sat in front of my red keyboard at home, just randomly landing a finger on a random key. It’s only been half way through the week and I was already love sick. I was definitely falling hard for Grace. She hasn’t called me since the day I asked her to be my girlfriend—it was eating me up inside. I wondered if I had done something wrong, or she was having second thoughts. I'm so selfish.
“Nathan?” I heard Mum call from downstairs.
“Yeah?” I said back.
“There’s a surprise for you down here!” She said happily. Could it be--? It couldn’t be Gracie, though…she won’t be back for another 3 days. Who could it be then? I thought to myself as I got up from the chair and went down the stairs with heavy footsteps.
That’s when I saw them, all smiles.
“Lads?” I whispered. I was speechless, apart from that single word.
Grace’s POV
It’s been half way through the week and I was to bring Mum to the rehab center tomorrow. For now, I’ve been distracting her with the beauty that is Scotland. I swear, we’ve been to every attraction there is, but I managed to look cheery and excited, rather than having a tired disposition. It was all for Mum.
I hadn’t called Nathan since the day he asked me to be his girlfriend, for one major reason that is, and that reason is that I was successful enough to contact the rest of The Wanted. I wanted to surprise Nathan. It took hours, after meeting Nathan that day, I must admit, because they’ve practically disappeared from this world since their break up four years ago. I told them everything—how I knew Nath, how he’s been doing, what he’s doing, and whatnot. They agreed to meet him today, on a Wednesday, since I know it's symbolic for the band (#WantedWednesday). I hoped that everything would go well with their little reunion. I contacted Nathan’s mum as well to let her know.

Nathan’s POV
“Hey, Nath,” Max broke the silence. I must’ve been standing there, gawking at them for the past 5 minutes.
“What are you doing here?” I finally asked them. They didn’t say anything and they came and hugged me one by one. Kelsey and Nareesha were here as well, but Nareesha was with...a baby…? He looked to be about less than a year old. I lightly touched his hairy head with my hand and smiled at Nareesha.
“His name’s James,” she told me.
“Um, congratulations, I guess,” I chuckled and Siva went by his wife’s side and took James from her and kissed his forehead. I looked back at Mum who was standing off to the back, admiring the sight of me reconnecting with the people I had considered as my second family.
“Please, sit, I’ll just…yeah, I’ll be here.” Mum stuttered and I laughed slightly at her cuteness. She disappeared up the stairs and left me standing as the rest of the boys and girls took their seats around the living area.
Again there was a short silence. “How’ve you been, then?” Tom asked me. I was still at a lost for words. I really wasn’t expecting to see them again. I’ll always be remembered as the depressed dick that let this once-successful band and their fans down.
