Home Sweet Prison

"Wake up Raven, and get dressed the guests are going to be here soon." My mother shouted outside my door.
"I might be already dressed and ready and you wouldn't know cause you never unlock my door to find out!" I shout back.
" Well are you? Anyway you need to be in closed spaces to let your magic expand to it's full capacity. Besides you already have all you would want in you're room, and it's too dangerous for you to go outside the castle walls!" My mother shouts back. I sigh, I will never get out of here.

Oh yeah, introductions, hi my name is Raven I am the daughter of the evil queen. I am about 15 years old, and am a prisoner to my own home. Now back to the story...

I finished putting on the horrid dress my mother had insisted that I wear. The dress was not terrible looking ( it was flowing white ombré to dark blue, with a tight corset top) I just hated wearing dresses, even though my mother had me wear them every day. My blonde hair was pulled back into a French braid. I knocked on my door and was let out by two guards who then took me to where my mother was.
She just happened to be in the one place in the whole castle I absolutely hated, the jewel room, and she had a crown in her hands. Oh no no no no no, I drew the line at dresses and heels I will not wear a crown! But of course my mother placed the horrid thing on my head. 'This must be one hell of a guest if my mother makes me wear a God awful crown.'
She takes my arm and walks me through the castle, " you know Raven you have grown up to be a beautiful young girl and you have learned so much and are by far one of the smartest people in the entire kingdom." Oh great my mother is smothering me with "compliments" I bet she wants something from me. " You also have aced every magic lesson I have given you, and have learned magic I don't even think of."my mother continued. 'Great now she brings up magic, I bet she is going to talk about how I am going to be a great queen.'I think to myself.

We are now nearing the dinning hall which looks to be set up, and in the far side of the room there are plates set for four. Then I hear talking and I lookup to see two people. A man that looks to be around my mothers age, and a boy who looks so full of himself." The thing is you need a person to rule along side you."she finished.
"Wait what!?" I practically yelled. "You have got to be kidding me mother if you think i am ever going to allow you to arrange a marriage or even think of having me marry!" I said.
My mother on the other hand was completely serious."Raven just be lady like and act as though you agree for one evening, I need the kingdom to think you at least are thinking about the future." I cant believe this my mother is setting me up!

I sighed heavily then put on my best fake smile and proceeded to walk the rest of the way up to the two strangers with my mother. " Hello, you must be Raven your mother has told us all about you." The man said."This is prince James of the Northern Ills." I curtsied and held back a bitter remark.
" You are prettier than your mother told us."  Prince James told me as he bowed. Just great my mother set me up with a flirt that also is a prince. Sadly if he wasn't set up with me by my mother i might have thought he was cute. Even though I would never admit it.
My mother thankful ended the small talk "Let us sit and have dinner."I sat down in the far left side, and James then sat in the chair across from me.
"Oh no this won't do, James sit next to Raven and i will sit across from her."my mother just had to butt in. I gave her a 'I will kill you for this later' glare and sat down.

Finally dinner was over, i quickly got up to go to my room away from the creep who tried to play footsie as we ate. However my horrid mother had other plans and made me take prince Flirts with me to the library. Oh I am so going to murder someone!

I sat in one of the big chairs in the library while prince Flirt-alot  tried to find a book. I did not trust him to keep his thoughts to himself so i placed a charm on him were i could read his each and every thought. " She is so pretty those  lips so red and her hair so beautiful, and her British accent when she talks makes me want to kiss her more and more."he thought , ugh this guy is a flirt even in his thoughts! I got up and started looking for my favorite book, "A Thousand Ways A Wolf Lives" i love this book because it tells the story of a boy who can turn onto a black wolf and he lives in this forest to protect his town.
" What do you have there Princess Raven?" Prince Flirt asks. "Just a book." I say, in a truly bored tone.
"It doesn't seem like 'just a book' the way you held it." He said back, 'i wish she looked at me the way she looked at that book.' The prince's thoughts are giving me a headache almost as much as he is. I put the book back and sat down on the couch, prince Flirt-alot then decided to sit next to me.
"kiss him on the cheek!" I heard my mother break into my thoughts. "get out of my head!"I screamed back in my mind, the thought connection was quickly broken between my mother and I.
Unwillingly I was about to moved closer to kiss prince flirt- alot on the cheek, when I got a thought from him that he was going to tern quickly and kiss me on the lips. I quickly grabbed a near by book and held it up just in time for flirt-alots to kiss the book and not me.

I quickly got up 'that's it I am so passed done.'I thought. I ran out of the room and quickly headed to my room and locked the door from the inside. I threw my crown on the bed and changed into something I would actually wear. I put on a black tank top, black wash jeans, and combat boots. I went out through the tall double doors to my balcony, looking back at the door. With one last sigh of irritation towards the thought of my mother, I stepped up onto the railing and jumped.

I of coarse have done this a thousand time to get out of the closed castle to the woods that surrounded it. I leaped off the railing and grabbed the first branch I touched on the tree that neighbored the castle. I then jumped from branch to branch till I was on the forest ground.
I began to run as fast as I could till I reach a huge old black tree deep in the woods, in the trunk there was a hidden notch which I checked to make sure was still hiding my bow and quiver.I then climbed the old tree and once  at the top I let out a wolf-ish howl. As soon as I had heard a howl in reply I jumped down.

There on the ground I found; two foxes, and five wolves. The animals began to back away from me. I TOTALLY FORGOT TO TRANSFORM !! I quickly transformed from a girl with blonde hair to a white wolf with one piercing blue eye, and one gold eye. The animals then we're less hesitant to my presence.

Let me explain, so I have this special magic called transfiguration were I can change into any being or form I want. I also can speak any language, which includes animal. So when I had figured out how transfiguration worked I snuck out of the castle and became friends with a wolf pack and two foxes. ( the light brown fox is named Faith, the dark brown fox is Camrin. The biggest, dark brown boy wolf is named Nick, the other boy wolf white, brown is named Cade. The red wolf is named Sara, the dark brown wolf is named Julia, and the black wolf is named Maddi.) NOW BACK TO THE STORY!

"What happened this time?" I hear Cade ask,"What I can't just come and see my only friends?!"
"Come on Raven we all know you barley ever come unless you are mad at your mother or bored." Nick says.
"Ugh fine my mother tried to set me up with a prince, who I might add was a huge flirt!" I say
" You poor thing, come on let's play!" Julia says. We all play for a while till the boys have to go hut so the girls and I keep playing. We play and talk for a really long time  till we all hear a long howl form the boys which means the wolves have to go. I say goodbye to the wolves and walk the foxes back to their den.

I slowly, oh so slowly make my way back to the castle. When I get close I sense something wrong. I transform into a raven and fly up to my balcony ( my mother does not know of my animal friends and that's the way I like to keep it. However my mother knows I can transform into a raven and some other birds but that's it.)

I land on the ledge and transform back to a human girl that is sitting on the railing. I see my mother talking to some guards she obviously doesn't see me so I speak up," what's up?" I say out loud.
" Oh thank goodness you are alright, I was looking every were for you after the two left and you weren't there. I started to worry that something had happened to you, or that some one had taken you like all the boys that have gone missing in the kingdom." She grabbed my arms and hugged me tight, it was weird and only lasted a moment." Now get ready for bed I will have extra guards at your door and at the castle doors. I'll be gone for a long time for a trip so I can take care of some needed business, I will be gone for a few months at least and a year or two at most. Be good while I'm gone and don't get into any trouble!" My mother said as she locked my door for the night. And just like that I'm back to being all alone and locked away wooo...

It took a long time but I finally got tired. I changed into my black pjs, and re-braided my hair in a French braid, and fall asleep in my huge king size bed...
