As a person who texts every single day, I realized that there are a bunch of things that bother me in people's texts.
This is based off of my own experiences and opinions. so aye~
1. saying "ok" I'm sure that every time a convo gets awakward, a person randomly says "ok." either with a period, or an -ay. Either way, it's still kinda annoying to receive it. tbh when people say "ok" to me while texting, it feels like they are saying "This convo is going nowhere, I'm bored, I'm gonna gtfo bc yall are some boring mofos" or "I can't stand your shit, you're being an ass, be glad I'm still texting you and not leaving you on read"
idk, this is all based off my experiences. Maybe it's cause whenever my group chats' mood gets extremely tense, people just use "ok" everywhere.
2. "lol"/"haha"/"lmao" Augh jfc, seeing these three together is already starting to make me cringe. Let's get to the point, when someone responds with one of these after you share a story, it feels like they're yawning right in front of you, or telling you to stfu in their mind.
3. "good" Have you ever gotten into an argument with someone, and they just shout "GOOD/GOOD FOR YOU" That's exactly how I feel when someone sends me that. Even if they don't mean it, it just feels like they completely don't give two shits about what you're saying.
4. "no" I've never been rejected bc I don't have the guts to ask anyone out, but I have received a bunch of a straight up "no"s from others, it hurts ya know :P It sounds like you're cranky or something. jfc x2
5. suddenly switching to lowercase 75 percent of the time, when I'm texting my close friends, we use capital letters. IDK, I think that's just a tradition? But anyways, if we're discussing some random crap using all caps, then they decide to use lowercase, doesn't it make you feel like they're butthurt over something you've said? Not all the times though, switching to lowercase is normal for some cases :) gee im such a hypocrite >;)
------- Anyways, these are just my texting pet peeves, I tend to do those too when I'm in a bad mood, but I'm mostly Internet yelling *in a good way*.
Sorry for another "mini-rant" I can't think think of a good idea for the KNB IG, so I'll just update some stuff that bothers me here :)
