Under Pressure

Mei's POV> *ding dong* I noticed it was already 5:00 and Yamato was at the door waiting for me. It's our 2 year anniversary today and we plan to go out for dinner on the beach for the weekend. I ran down the hallway in my blue strapless floral dress with thigh high white lace socks on. My hair was slightly curled for a beach wave look. My earrings wear pearls that Yamato gave me for my birthday a few months back. Before I opened the door I slipped on my white wedge heel's so it would be a little bit easier on Yamato if wanted to kiss me.

I opened the door and I could feel the blood flow to my cheeks. He looked straight at me and said "your get even cuter each time I see you". I didn't know how to react so I bent my head down to the floor and thanked him awkwardly. He grabbed me by the waist to pull me in for a kiss. I held him tight as I think I would faint because of the strong embrace. As are lips departed he looked me straight in my eyes and told me "I love you" but all I did was blush and start walking to the taxi.

While we sat I the car, I started to regret not saying the sweet loving words he repeats each time he sees me. Its so simple on the tongue yet so heavy on my chest. I started having guilt way me down. I looked up at the sky and noticed the dark clouds racing in. At first I thought it was just my imagination but then Yamato tapped me on my thigh and said that we are going to have to cancel because of the rain.

We started heading back to my house to drop me off when it started pouring. I led him in the house were we found a note from my mom stating "sorry sweety, I'll be out for the weekend on a business trip, Be safe and call me if you need me, love Mom". I turned on the TV to the news to find out there is a flood warning on my street and everyone must stay inside for the time being. I could already feel pressure building up upon me as I noticed Yamato was still in the house with me.
