Everyone was staring at Gray as he walked into the hallway of the school. Gray squirmed, feeling eyes burn holes through his head. He was confused as to why the spotlight was on him, until Loke ambushed him at his locker.

"Gray, why didn't you tell me you kissed Erza? On the lips!" Loke said loudly.

"I did what?" Gray asked, confused. I remember kissing Erza on the cheek, but...

"Gray!" Natsu shouted out of nowhere.

"What?" Gray asked.

"IaccidentallytoldafewpeoplethatyoukissedErzaonthecheekandthewordspreadandnoweveryonethinksthatyoukissedheronthelips...Sorry?" Natsu said. It took a while to comprehend what Natsu had said, but when he did, Gray turned bright red and punched Natsu in the face.

"You idiot!" Gray yelled.

"Are you two fighting? Best friends don't fight," Erza said, suddenly appearing beside them.

"We're not fighting!" they both yelled out from instinct.

"Gray was fighting, though," Natsu said with a pleased smile on his face.

"Natsu, no tattling," Erza glared at Natsu after staring at Gray for a long time. Said person stared at Erza with his jaw hanging open.

Why the heck is Erza defending that ice cube? She never chooses sides!

Meanwhile, Erza was wondering why she defended Gray too.

It's because he attempted suicide yesterday, she convinced herself. Our relationship is platonic.

Anyway, she dragged Natsu off somewhere to punish him, leaving Gray and Loke to stare after her.

"Well that was unexpected," Loke said after a while before scratching his neck and going to class. Gray shrugged and followed him.

***End of School***

Erza sighed as she stretched and walked out of the school. She wasn't expecting what was about to come next.

Jellal was waiting for her at her dorm room door. "Hey babe," Erza greeted him with her best smile.

"Erza, we have to talk." Erza's smile turned into a frown.

"What about?"

"Don't play stupid with me Erza. I know what you did," Jellal said, looking more tired than angry. Erza was very confused now.

"What did I do? Did I punch you accidentally again? If I did, I'm so sorry-"

"No, you kissed Gray, didn't you?" It was more of a statement than a question.

"No, where-"

"Don't lie to me, Erza!" Jellal yelled, making Erza flinch.

"I'm not lying..." Erza said quietly.

"Erza, I know that Gray's the reason you couldn't go on a date with me yesterday," Jellal said, sounding heartbroken. "You can date him now, I'm breaking up with you."

"...What?" Erza said, watching Jellal's back as he left her. She then started crying, and stayed there, sitting outside of her dorm room crying, until Lucy found her and got her inside.

But that was only the beginning...
