~Marci's P.O.V~
I abruptly turn around from talking with Emily hearing Lilly's voice "Wait a second, Zane!?" I use my powers and run over to her. Being a vampire and all I can run super fast. "Lilly! Your awake! How do you know who he is?..." I question her fast. I feel a hand in my shoulder. I look to see who it is. "Come on. Let her have her rest for a little while without a ton of questions." Emily says softly to me. I sigh and walk away from the make-shift bed that we built for Lilly in the cave. I go back to the place me and Emily where talking. She quickly reads my mind and says in a quiet voice "It's okay. Everything will be fine." "I guess.." I comment soon after I find myself daydreaming about the time that will come.
~Alex's P.O.V~
I'm in the woods looking for materials. I know that if Lilly was awake she wouldn't let me so I went now. Before she woke up, I was in my wolf form and I couldn't focus. It was probably because I was worried about Lilly... I wanted to see if I could mind-link her. I suddenly felt myself slip into sleep. I opened my eyes to find myself in a large field with flowers I see Lilly in her wolf form and run to her. She sees me and also run towards me, she says something muffled and then stops dead in her tracks. "Lilly its me!" She doesn't say anything "Lilly what's wrong.." I trail off as I begin to walk towards her. When I get to her I see tears in her eyes. She says something again but I can't seem to make it out. She buries her head into my soft fur. Before I know it we are both in our human forms I am holding Lilly on my lap and she is asleep. I also notice we are no longer in the field. I look up to see Marci. She reads my mind and tells me that Lilly was talking in her sleep and that we had a shared dream. I take in my surroundings and notice 5 guys sleeping near the entrance to the cave. I put Lilly in the make-shift bed that we built for her, stood up in front of her and felt my ears and tail emerge from my body I also let my fangs out and growl starting to walk towards the strangers I feel a hand on my shoulder and turn to see Emily behind me "Alex it's fi-" I cut her off by snapping "Who are they?" She looks a bit hurt by my remark and seems to shake it off. "They helped us. Their names are Zane, Garroth, Aaron, Laurence, and Dante. When we where running after Lilly had been slashed by the Morwall they helped us find this place and make it safe and more like a home. You don't remember?" I shake my head not recalling anything of the sort happening. "I must have just been caught up in the moment." I say to Emily. I go back towards Lilly's bed and relax my teeth and eyes return to normal but I keep my tail and ears out just to be safe. I sit down next to Lilly and drift off to sleep.
~Lilly's P.O.V~
I wake up to see the strangers at the entrance of the cave chatting with Marci and Emily. I look next to me to see a sleeping Alex. I blush and get up careful not to wake her. I walk towards the Marci and Emily and Zane spots me. He walks towards me fast I quickly let out my inner wolf and in 2 seconds flat I have my ears, tail, fangs and wolf eyes out. Zane doesn't seem to be fases by this at all and roughly grabs me by the arm and almost drags me to the back of the cave pinning me to the wall. "How do you remember me and what do you remember?" He says to me. "I remember that you saved me when I was lost and getting beat up in the ally before I found my place. I remember that you let me stay with you until I was better I remember you being like my big brother. I remember that you took me to Crescent Moon High and never came back. I remember sending tons of letters to you and I remember always being alone on parents day." I felt tears gushing down my face and all my friends staring at me. Zane backed away from me and ran. His friends tried to stop him but they couldn't. I felt my body slap against the cold, hard floor of the cave. I felt my body being picked up and my face being wiped off. I opened my eyes to see Alex. Our eyes locked and I cried some more which felt like forever. All I remember is falling asleep in Alex's arms. And finally feeing a sense of belonging, and when I was with Alex. I felt safe.
~Alex's P.O.V~
It killed me to see Lilly cry. I herd what she was saying and it woke me up I started to run towards her pursuer of which I didn't know the name. But Jet and Stella where holding me back I struggled against their strength eventually staring to will then Violet and Howard stared to push me back. "Please!" I whispered to them "Let me see her!" At this pint in time the stranger had backed away and started to run. My friends let me go and I ran pushing Marci and Emily gently out of my way. I picked Lilly up brought her over to the only bed all of us had and set her down beginning to wipe away her tears. Her eyes fluttered open to see me and I froze. She then began to cry more and I pulled her closer to me. She was the happiest friend of out group! And my closest friend beside the whole squad. I hated to see any of my friends upset but I especially hated seeing Lilly upset. I didn't know why but I just felt more protective over her. She soon fell asleep so I laid her down on the bed and curled up if the floor next to her. And drifted off to sleep.
~Emily's P.O.V~
I watched as all my friends drifted off to sleep. My heart a little broken to see Lilly so upset. She's usually so happy! Me and Marci chatted for what seemed like five minutes but was actually more like 8 hours. Most of our friends where still asleep Marci and I being vampires and all didn't sleep so we spent our nights chatting or making up weird games/stories. Jet had went out to gather materials so we could make out cave more like home. God. I though to myself. What are we going to do?
