"Morning." I said as I peeped my head into apartment 19. I went in as I saw Chandler sitting on his barka lounger.
"Good morning," he said as I sat myself on his lap. "Sleep well?" He grinned before pressing his lips softly against mine.
"Best in ages." We continued kissing, caught up in our own world until Joey emerged from his room,
"Guys! Stop it!" He yelled. We didn't mind what he saw, in fact, in was kinda nice to flaunt what we have. Nobody else knew so we cherished how open we could be.
"Seriously though, you two are all over each other! All the time." Joey didn't seem too happy."Look Joe, let us be." Chandler said before pressing his forehead onto mine, allowing our noses to brush against each other's.
A few minutes passed before I said "I best get going, I only came to ask if you wanted me to make you breakfast at ours.
"Okay, come on then." Chandler said before patting my leg signalling for me to get up.
"Hey Rach, the boys are here." I announced as we entered back into our apartment. "I'm making French toast, you want any?"
"Yeah sure!" Rachel's voice shouted from the bathroom before we heard the shower start. I turned on the stove and started making breakfast for six (assuming Phoebe and Ross would soon be there). Suddenly, I felt hands snake around my waist and soft lips on my neck, I swivelled round into his arms.
"Chandler! What are you doing?" I quietly giggled. "What? I can't hug my girlfriend! No one else is around but Joey." , who at the time was way too invested in the table in front of him!
"Stop," I teased, "Ross could be here any minute." That made him realise.
Out of everyone, we were the most scared of Ross finding out. I'm his baby sister and Chandler is his best friend we didn't know how he'd react to us. And just on cue,
"Hey guys!" Ross announced as he burst through the door, "Mmmm, smells good Mon!"
"You are unusually happy for a man who is getting his second divorce." Chandler said surprised.
"Who wouldn't be, he's back on the market." Joey grinned.
"Joey!" I yelled, just as the bathroom door opened and Rachel emerged wearing her robe,
"Hey Ross, Joey, Chandler. How are y'all?"
"Well, Rachel, today I have been called in to see the head of the palaeontology department at the museum. You know, ever since that note Phoebe wrote, everyone has been doing stuff for me, it's great!" Ross seemed so happy, like one thing in his life was finally going well. He plonked himself down on the chair next to Joey and waited for me to finish up cooking.
1 hour later
The five of us sat around the TV, with Phoebe flicking through the channels. "Where's Ross?" She suddenly asked after 15 minutes of pressing the same button.
"Pheebs, he left for work half an hour ago!" Rachel explained.
"Oh. Ok." She shrugged. I do wonder about Phoebe sometimes, where does her mind wonder off to? When we finally gave up with the TV, we switched to conversation.
"So, Monicaaaaa..." Rachel started.
"What racheelllll?" I mimicked.
"Well, how your new secret boyfriend?" My eyes widened. I completely forgot that I'd told Rachel I had a secret boyfriend! Oh no!
"Erm well," I looked over at Chandler who's arm was loosely wrapped around me shoulder; he gently shook his head, "We're taking things slow. I don't think he's ready to meet everyone."
"Yeah I don't think he is either." Chandler agreed.
Joey sat up now and said, "Well I'd love to meet him. Have we ever met him?" I knew Joey was winding me up but I went along anyway.
"Erm well I would say that you've probably met him." I decided to be honest just not completely honest.
"Who knows him the best? Apart from you?" Phoebe chimed in.
"I would say Chandler knows him more than anyone." I glanced at him again as a soft smile spread across his face. Whenever he did this a warm sensation went through me.
"Is he from Chandler's work?!" I couldn't tell if what Rachel said was a question or a statement but either way it was interrupted by the front door crashing open,
"THEY PUT ME ON SABBATICAL!" He yelled.
"And I can't begin to imagine why!" Chandler joked as I elbowed him in the ribs.
"Ross, sweetie, sit down." I stood up taking Chandler with me allowing room for Ross to plonk himself on the sofa.
"Now I have no wife, no job and since I was meant to be moving in with Emily, my house is sold and I have nowhere to live! I suck." Ross listed everything wrong with his life but it wasn't him who sucked, just the stuff that happened to him.
"Hey Ross, you can move in with us." Joey said with a caring smile.
"Sure, that would be fun." Chandler agreed.
"Wow! Thank guys. At least I have good friends." Ross said.
That night
We all sat, eating pizza. Me and chandler, snuggled on the armchair, Phoebe on the floor and Rachel sandwiched between Ross and Joey on the couch. We were watching a movie, Rachel picked it so it was some sort of chic-flick, not my favourite and certainly not chandler's. So we just sat, stroking each other's hands discretely. Occasionally, he'd whisper something in my ear that'd make me smile but I had to stay quite or we'd draw attention to ourselves.
The film finished and we all gave a small moan and a stretch, earlier that day, Ross had started moving his stuff into Joey and chandler's so he headed off to unpack a little. Rachel announced that she was tired so she headed into her room and Phoebe and Joey said they'd head too. Luckily, that just left me and Chandler. We remained on the chair and looked at each other,
"You do realise that with Ross living with you were gonna have to be more careful." I started.
"Yeah, well maybe we could tell Rachel. That way, we don't have to sneak around whenever we're here." Chandler suggested.
I looked at his face, the excitement and happiness in his eyes. I leant in a kissed him lightly in the lips. "Thank you." I murmured then stood up. "Should we do it now, or wait till tomorrow?" I asked.
"Well if we do it now, we could... Do it now." He grinned happily and gave a cheeky wink.
"Rachel! Can you come here for a minute." I called out. Rachel came out from her room wearing her pyjamas.
"Are you two ok? You seem... Weird." She kept looking between us, and we looked at each other.
"Ok Rach, you can't freak out. For a while now, me and chandler have," thankfully I didn't have to finish the sentence because she'd figured it out herself.
"Oh my god oh my god oh my god!" She squealed. "When? How?" She clearly had a lot of questions and annoyingly, I had time. I told Chandler to tell Joey and Ross that for the night, Ross could sleep in his room and he'd crash on my couch. At least that way we'd avoid any questions. When he returned, we started telling Rachel.
"So, it happened in London and we weren't going to do anything but, well, it just kept going I guess." I looked over at Chandler as he approached me from the other side of the room and placed him arms around my waist. I gazed into the ocean of his eyes and leant in. We kissed for what felt like forever until we were interrupted by Rachel,
"Guys! I just found out you two are, you two and now you're making out in front of me! I need more information!" Rachel is such a gossip but I felt like, if we told her everything, she could keep this secret. So we did.
A/N so it still hasn't gone very far yet and I want to include some things about how Ross nearly catches them or something. Also I just want to say that the one where they all find out is my favourite episode of all time and I'm really not trying to replace this, I just love friends and I'm really bored 😅
