Chapter 9

As I close my locker I see Amber cheesing really hard."What?" I say laughing."So there's a party tonight!" she says excited and jumping up and down."Ok and..?" I ask."Uh! Let's go!"she says shaking me."Ok I'll think about it.." I say."And who's throwing it?" I ask."Daniel Price" she says."Oh his fine ass, we're definitely going now!" I say jumping up and down.

I enter my class, and Amber goes in the opposite direction to hers."Ok so I have graded all the test, and they were mostly good, and some poor...Great job to Jeremiah, you got a 100!" my teacher says.I look over at Jeremiah flexing his muscles as the class claps and cheers him on, I roll my eyes and turn my head.My teacher lays my graded test on my desk, I flip it over to see I got a 55.I had studied so hard, or at least I thought I did.

I meet Amber at my locker, and see Jeremiah waiting too.."Hey?" I say walking up to the both of them."Just let me know if you need anymore help."Jeremiah says."I will thanks!" says Amber."Help with what?" I ask chiming in as I open my locker."Oh Jeremiah tutored me for my Chem test." she says."Oh..Probably another test I failed." I say as I drop my binder."Shit!" I say and try to pick up all of my papers that fell out.I see Jeremiah pick up my Calc test,"Aye if you needed help you know you can ask." he says as he hands me the test."No you're too busy with practice anyway.."I say in annoyed tone."Not worth going if I'm helping you pass, and plus I'm free now." he says."I don't need help, it's fine.I'm not worth anything either so don't waste your precious time on me,K? K." I say slamming my locker close. "Amber?" I say walking off."You should have him tutor you, he's good!"Amber says catching up to me.I leave it at that and go to my next class, History with Jeremiah.

After school I go home to get ready for the party at Daniel's house tonight."Erica, can you come here please" my mom yells from downstairs.I go downstairs and see what my mom wanted."Hey so I've been concerned about your health, and talked with Dr.Matthews about when he had to evaluate you when your ankle was sprained and said you're just a bit overweight and could soon become diabetic.." she says."Ok and..?" I say."Ok and you need to start eating healthier, working out,something.." she says in a serious tone."Ok" I say and leave making my way to the front door."I'm leaving!" I yell closing the door behind me.Right after I close it, I let all my anger out.I'm so pissed, I'm failing and my mom basically said I'm a fat, and everything else that could possible go wrong is, my life sucks.I get in my car and reverse whipping back quickly without checking blind spots.I hear a car honk, I look in my rearview mirror and see someone almost touching the rear ass of my car,"What the fuck, asshole!" I say to myself.But damn that was a nice Mercedes, It looked new too.

Amber and I arrive to the party and immediately see Lucas and Dana.Such a fucking douche, that he was better than that."Look there's Jeremiah!" says Amber."Oh I barely noticed his dark ass" I say being sarcastic."Chill he's not that dark." she says defending him.Jeremiah was about 6'5,so he was pretty tall, he had dark skin,but not too dark,just the right complexion, he had black curly hair on the very top of his head,medium sized lips,not too big and had the straightest and whitest teeth I've ever seen.To top it off he was very muscular and may as well have abs, but I wouldn't know.She walks over to Jeremiah and starts talking to him, I look around like a lost freshman on their day of high school."Aye" I hear someone say behind me.I turn around and see the Daniel price, he's one the most popular people at school and is on the basketball team."Uh hi" I say confused."Want a drink or something?" he says gesturing to the coolers behind me.I look in them and see only beers,"Uh" I say not knowing what to do next.He then pulls out a bottle opener and raises his brows and hands me the opener.I shouldn't be drinking because I'm responsible of driving Amber and myself back home.Fuck it I say to myself, I've had a long ass week and felt like life has been kicking me in the ass.I grab a Corona Light out of the cooler and shake the excess water off my hand and then open the top using the bottle opener."Thanks" I say handing the bottle opener back to him as I give him a  fake smile.I take a sip of the beer and immediately smack my lips because of the bitter taste it has.No lie this is my first time drinking, but I thought why the hell not have fun I deserve it, and I'm also a dumb ass.

"Green eyes" I hear someone say, then I realize it's Jeremiah.I scoff in disgust,"What do you want?" I ask him."A dance?" he asks me."Really?" I say as I turn my head sideways and give him a digusted look."Nah, but you almost got me earlier when you whipped out your driveway." He says moving his hand in a circular motion as if he were driving a car."Oh!" I say raising my head and eyebrows and dropping my mouth open, Jeremiah mimics me."So you're the idiot who can't drive?" I say being sarcastic and laughing after.He lets out a little fake laugh,"Yea sure.." he replies back.I was tired of this cocky ass boy so I tossed the rest of the beer in my bottle on him,"Yea sure my ass." I say as I walk away.I throw away my bottle and find another cooler, I grab a beer and shake off excess water.Luckily this cooler had a bottle opener on the side of it so I popped open the top and started drinking it, this beer must've been stronger because I clenched my face after the bitter taste.I seen Amber dancing and joined her, I knew this was going to be a great night.

3 beers later I found myself looking for the nearest bathroom to throw up in.I ended up finding a bathroom, and Jeremiah and Monica Winkleman, one of the most popular,prettiest,and bitchiest snow bunnies at our school.They were making out and Jeremiah's shirt was no where to be found.This shouldn't have surprised me,every guy obsesses over her because of her long blonde hair and blue eyes.Not only that she's a slut, so it wouldn't have been much longer for her to get with Jeremiah, being that he was a student and football player at school."Ew! Think I'm gonna throw up!" I say running to the toilet."Monica finally got with Jeremiah?" I hear someone say."Aye Lucas look! Monica finally in bed with the new boy!" yells the boy, I'm guessing it was one of Lucas' douche face friends.I hear people laughing and then people arguing."Keep laughing we'll see who has the last laugh." Jeremiah says."Ya it won't be your ass." argues Lucas."Already did, coach moved me up to start next season, and to finish.." argues back Jeremiah."Listen here fucker" says Lucas."Listen here, you can take your damn hands off of me because you know I'm a better player.than.you." Jeremiah says."And in basketball.." he finishes.I lift my head up for a minute before I go back to throwing up and see Lucas swing on Jeremiah but Jeremiah ducks."See ya gotta be faster than that, and on the field.." Jeremiah says.

I go back to throwing and here people start making groaning and disgusted sounds. "Are you okay?" Jeremiah asks running to the bathroom."The bitch got drunk." Lucas says laughing."Don't call a girl a bitch, fucking asshole.." Jeremiah says defending me."And what the fuck did she ever do to you?" he finishes.Lucas and the others leave the room."Ew what the fuck!" yells Monica from the bedroom."Couldn't even knock."She bickers while I hurl out my lunch from earlier and mostly beer.I feel Jeremiah hold up my hair,"Do you have a hair tie?" he asks me.I hold out my wrist behind me and he takes off the hair tie tying my frizzy curls up."Are you drunk?" he asks me.
