"Ashley! Your ride's here!" yelled Jessica. "Hurry up or you're going to be late!"
"Okay, Jess. Hang on one second please," replied Ashley. "I just have to grab my coat, backpack, and shoes. I hope Jasi can wait a second..." Ashley hurriedly snatched her backpack, slid on her coat, and put her feet into her boots.
"Bye Ash!" said Jessica.
"See ya!" said Ashley, one foot already out the door. She walked through her garage and out into the driveway. It was still pitch black outside, for it was still only 7:00 in the morning. School started at 7:45 that morning because it was a Monday, and at Lakeshore High School, school starts later on Mondays.
"Hey Scar.. What's up?" said Ashley.
"Nothing much.. Just driving us to school." We both started laughing.
"Can you turn on some jams at least so this car ride isn't as boring as always?" said Ashley giggling sarcastically.
"Sure. Maybe it'll lighten up the Monday drowsiness." We laughed again. As Scarlet was turning on the radio, I got my phone out of my backpack to turn it off because I haven't gotten in trouble for having my phone go off since 7th Grade and I wasn't going to ruin my perfect record today. Scar turned the radio up and started singing loudly. Once I put my phone back in my backpack, I finally realized what song was on. We both started singing at the top of our lungs.
"Cause' baby now we got bad blood. You know it used to be mad love. So, take a look what you've do-o-one. Cause' baby now we got bad blood. HEY!" Once that song was over, we were already at the school.
As we got out of the car, we began walking up to the school.
"Phew! It's cold outside! It feels like one hundred degrees in here now!" yelled Scarlet in front of everyone.
"Shhh... Scar, you can't keep yelling random stuff like that in front of everyone. It's sort of obnoxious." said Ashley.
"Well, sorry to bother you," said Scarlet, her voice increasing as she went on ranting.
"Everyone, listen! I'm sorry if my talking is too loud for you all, but I can talk as loud as I want and I will!" Scarlet exclaimed.
"Scar! Chill, chill. It's okay." said Ashley calming down Scarlet.
"Fine, fine. Let's go inside now." said Scarlet unapprovingly.
We headed into the hallway and began walking to our lockers. There was a new, hot (and when I say someone is hot, I mean HOT) boy standing next to my locker putting his combination into his locker. I was going to say hi because I haven't seen him around here before, but I started blushing so I didn't say anything.
As I was putting my locker combination, out of the corner of my eye, I saw him look at me. Our eyes met and I immediately knew...
