Prologue
The birds chirpped loudly, it was the first day of spring. Seven year old Kisara Okai skipped happily along the sidewalk, her long white hair blowing gently behind her. She was happy that school was out for the day, and she was ready to play. "LEAVE MY BROTHER ALONE!" a voice shouted. Kisara stopped and looked inside the fenced in yard to the orphanage. There stood a boy about her age, standing in front of a younger boy. Along with a group of boys that seemed to be ganging up on them. The group of boys started to move in closer towards the other two boys, about to attack.
Kisara looked in fear, they were actually going to hit him! "LEAVE THEM ALONE!" she shouted on instinct. The group of boys turned to her direction and the other boy punched one right in the face. "Grabbing his face in fear, "Let's get out of here!" he wimpered, with his friends at his heels. The two boys made thier way over towards the fence. "Hey...um thanks." said the oldest, looking down, while the youngest hid behind him. "You're welcome." she smiled, her blue eyes sparkling. "I'm Kisara Okai, I live across the street, I haven't seen you guys here before. "I'm Seto, and this is my little brother Mokuba, we just got here this morning."
"Seto! Mokuba! Recess is over!" Seto, Mokuba and Kisara looked over at the orphange and there stood the headmistress of the orphanage. "We better go." Seto said, turning to leave. "Will I get to see you again?" Kisara asked. Seto turned around, "Sure I guess, I'll be right here." "Is tomorrow okay? It's Sunday and I don't have school." Kisara asked, still smiling. Seto nodded. "Okay, see you later!" she called, turning around and ran towards her house. Seto stood there and watched her run into the house. She was diffrerent than the others he met. Smiling to himself, he led Mokuba back inside.

The weeks pasted, and Kisara came over to the orphange everyday to see Seto.. She had found the friend she had been looking for. Sure she seemed pretty happy, but in reality, she wasn't. Kisara lived with her abusive father. Seto was her friend that helped her forget all of that. She could actually feel happy again. Just like she did before her mother died over a year ago.
Kisara walked up the steps of the orphange and knocked on the door. The headmistress opened the door, "Well hello Kisara." she smiled. "Can Seto come out to play?" The headmistress got down on her knees to be level with her, "I'm sorry darling, but Seto and his brother was adopted earlier this afternoon." That statement made Kisara's heart heavy. She looked around as the tears filled her eyes. "I'm sorry darling." the headmistress said once more, trying to comfort her. Kisara then pulled away and ran towards home.
