Within a star

When you stare upon a star,
It is but a light in a pitch black tar,
But there are those who don't merely stare upon,
Because merely staring casts it true meaning afar,
No, you must view within and gaze beyond,
And then, only then will you see that which lies within,
You may view the memories and dreams they travel upon,
But be careful, because the view is ever changing,
Because nothing can escape its timeless aging.
