"Why does he keep looking at me like that?", I thought. This guy had been staring at me ever since I got here. I had seen him before, but I didn't really know him. I only came here to skate, not to be stared at. This was a skatepark after all.
I decided to move to the other side of the park so that I could grind the ledge. I did that for a while until the guy that was staring at me came over to where I was. I tried my best to ignore him.
"You're a really good skater", he said.
"Uhm, thanks", I felt awkward talking to him.
"How long have you been skating?"
"Four years", I said trying to skate away slowly, but that didn't work.
"My name's Tim", he stated.
"I'm Megan", I mumbled, feeling somewhat annoyed.
While Tim tried to talk to me, I tried to land a new trick. It's called a tre flip (or a 360 flip). I was pretty close to landing one, but I kept falling off my board.
"Just land it already so I can ask you out!' he pleaded.
Tim's statement startled me so much that I stumbled off my board into the grass.
"Are you okay?", he asked.
"I'm fine."
I just got up and continued trying the trick. I didn't think he was serious. Soon enough, I landed it.
"So what's you answer?" Tim asked as he got closer and closer to me.
I took a step back.
I didn't know what to say. Tim was kind of cute, but I didn't know anything about him.
"Give me some time to think about it", I replied, unsure of myself.
What was I supposed to say? I wanted to say yes, but there were a few things holding me back. First of all, Tim was 19 and I was only 13. Another thing was that I still had feelings for someone else.
Her name was Jessica.
