Dean had just got home from work and took a shower when he heard his doorbell ringing. He pulled on a t-shirt and sweatpants, refusing to look at his scars as he did so and headed towards the door. He opened it and smiled as he saw Castiel standing there patiently.

"Hey, Cas." Dean greeted, leaning on the door frame, doing his best at ignoring the biting cold that was already freezing his still damp hair. Castiel leaned forwards, pecking him on the lips before smiling.

"I wanted to know if you wanted to catch a movie with me since our last date got cut off by Anna." Castiel offered, unwrapping his scarf and putting it around Dean's neck when a gentle, icy breeze flowed through.

"I don't think I should today, Cas." Dean replied, burrowing his nose in the scarf to keep his face warm. "I had a rough day today."

"Well, staying at home with your thoughts won't help. Come out and put it out of your mind for a while." Castiel countered, his smile not leaving his face. Dean blushed at the look in the bartender's eyes, stepping to the side.

"Come in while I get dressed." Dean mumbled, motioning to the kitchen as he headed to his bedroom. It only took him a minute to get dressed and when he got back out, he found Castiel wandering around the room with a thoughtful look in his eyes.

"Ready to go." Dean said, smiling as Castiel looked over at him, his eyes brightening when he saw that Dean had put back on the scarf. He took a step forwards, taking the scarf gently in his hands and guiding Dean to his lips. They shared a chaste kiss until Castiel pulled away, a pleased look in his eyes.

"You look good." Castiel commented, smiling before stepping back and taking Dean's hand. "Come on. We can pick out a movie when we get there."

"Dude, you know this sucks, right?" Dean whispered in Castiel's ear, staring up at the theater screen where a woman was being 'brutally murdered.' It might have been an okay movie despite the stupid plotline and terrible actors if the special effects hadn't looked like shit.

"Yeah, but I'm making sure I remember all of it so we could make fun of it later." Castiel responded, reaching over to Dean's seat and grabbing his hand, linking their fingers together and resting it on the arm rest.

"It does sound fun." Dean said, barely hiding his small flush as he turned to watch the movie with slightly more interest. Castiel's thumb slid along the back of his hand, the skin a bit calloused but comforting against his scarred skin.

"Five kisses says the solution to their ghost problem is in that creepy cave they found in the beginning of the movie." Castiel bet, his eyes twinkling mischievously when Dean looked over at him. He grinned, not seeing a down side to this and nodded, turning his eyes back to the movie to await the climax.

Castiel was proved right only ten minutes later and Dean let out a soft sigh, though not of defeat as he leaned over and gave Castiel his first kiss, making it short and sweet. The bartender squeezed his hand as they watched the rest of the movie, a small blush on his face.
