ELLA'S POV

I woke up to Jalen crying. My mom wasn't home so I had to stay home all day and take care of my son. He's 7 months and he's looking just like his father.

I walked into the kitchen make him a bottle with him on my side when I received a text.

Coco: Are you coming to work today ? Lay called out sick and boss said who ever takes her shift is getting a raise. I think you should come. (9:32 am)

I work as a fashion designer now. I do clothes for celebrities like Nicki Minaj, Beyonce, Fetty Wap but today's my day off.

Me: I don't know, I have to call Jaden and see if he's busy today. (9:34 am)

After I sent the text I went to my caller log to call Jaden. He answered right away.

Phone Call

Jaden: Yes ?

Me: Imma need you to watch Jalen, I'm working today.

Jaden: Stop lying Ella, you don't worry today. Who you going to see ?

Me: Jaden, I'm taking someone's shift. And even if I wasn't working, you still need to watch your son.

Jaden: *laughs* I'm on my way.

End Of Phone Call

JADENS POV

I know she's not working today. Who is she trying to fool. But it's been months since we spoke. It was our first time speaking in like 5 months. Usually her mom bring Jalen to me or I pick him up. But her mother is out of town for the month.

I got there in 25 minutes and rang the bell. She opened the door fully clothed, ready to run out.

Me: You going to work like that ?

I said looking at her outfit. She's wearing ripped jeans and a pink crop top and pink flats.

Ella: Like what ? Yes I dress to impress at my job because I never know who's going to walk through that door.

Me: Where's Jalen ?

Ella: He's sleeping in the room, I made 3 bottles for him in the fridge.

She went upstairs and I followed her. She kissed Jalen goodbye. She went back downstairs and right as she was about to leave I stopped her with my voice.

Me: LALA !

She turned around

Me: Can I talk to you for a minute ?

She closed the door walked towards me. We sat on the couch.

Me: I don't like the fact that we're on bad terms.

I said staring into her eyes. I missed her soo much. She's so beautiful and her skin is so pure. I got lost into her gorgeous eyes 😍

Ella: I don't either. But it is what it is.

Me: We need to be communicating for our son. He needs to grow up seeing both of his parents together.

She put her head down.

Me: We don't have to be in a relationship but we need to be together as a team, taking care of our son. You get what I'm saying ?

She nodded.

Me: Are you really going to work.

She rolled her eyes and I smiled.

Ella: Yes Jaden. Gosh. If I was going to see my boyfriend, I would tell you.
