"Hey, Jeff." Tim sighed as he looked up at the much younger male.
Even though it was a rare occurrence to see Jeff out during the day time, it was was very bothersome to see him. Most times he's running around and wrecking as much havoc he can manage. He was wearing a much cleaner white hoodie, a pair of shades, and one of those medical masks the doctor gives you when you're sick.
"What are you doing out?" Jeff asked and placed his hands into his hoodie pockets.
Tim held up the shopping list and sighed when Jeff leaned in to read it. It wasn't a very big deal, but it was using up valuable time.
"Could you get me some chips?" Jeff asked and straightened out his posture.
Tim nodded and he replied, "Yeah, Toby already told me. But what kind do you want?"
Jeff rocked himself back and forth on his feet before coming up with an answer. "How about some doritos?"
Tim sighed and held back the urge to pinch his nose. "Sure." he growled and pushed by Jeff. He should of known he was going to ask for doritos again. He should know he's going to find crumbs all over the mansion.
"Don't be such a dick!" Jeff called out as he walked back into the familiar woods.
Tim, of course, ignored him. Why should he listen to a seventeen year old asshole anyway? There was no good reason he could come up with. It could be because it's Jeff though.
((Time skip to after Tim shops))
The walk home was a bit more challenging than intended. Tim had too many bags to carry, but he somehow found a way to manage. He easily retraced his steps, but stopped dead in his tracks when he heard a dripping noise.
The sound was slow and rang off the tree trunks ever few breaths. Tim looked around and shivered once he realized there was blood dripping onto one of the bags. He stepped out of the metallic liquids way and looked up. There was no sign of a creature in the tree tops, but that didn't allow Tim to relax.
He looked around the area once again and realized this was were the tree branch had fallen. It lay on the mossy forest floor without a care in the world. If only Tim could be like that limb right now.
The rest of the journey was cautious and a bit slower. Once back at the house, he relaxed, put away the groceries and walked back to the room.
"Hey, have you seen EJ?" Clockwork asked as she walked down the creaking staircase. That was going to need to be fixed soon.
"No. I just got back from shopping, why?" Tim asked as he stepped aside to let her pass.
"I saw him running inside like a wild animal." She mumbled and looked around. "I just wanted to make sure he's alright."
Tim nodded in understanding and pointed back upstairs. "He might be in his room. I can check if you want?" he asked.
Clockwork looked back up at him and nodded. "That would be great, Thanks!" she cheered and continued her wild EJ search.
Tim looked up the stairs and made his way to his own room. He may as well put his mask back on. Once that task was completed he walked on over to EJ's room.
He knocked on the door once, twice, thrice. No response ever sounded.
"You in there, EJ?" Tim called.
Still no response. Tim was growing frustrated and turned the knob. It barely budged as if locked. He tried again and again, but there was no way he was going to get in this way.
Then that one horrible sound echoed out. It was the sound of muffled sobbing. A sick disgusting sound, but it wasn't really that horrible. It only brought up forgotten memories to Tim. Things he would never remember, but they weren't going away.
"EJ?!" Tim cried out.
