Hi, my name is Isaac Kras, rank Sergeant, 108th Infantry Division. It's hard working in this god forsaken Kingdom, if you can call it a kingdom. I started out in a military family, from there I grew up into the ranks. But the commander won't let me proceed to the next rank. As for the King, he will just run this place directly into the ground. But I believe I know the right way to run this Kingdom and one day I will.
The days go by so fast when on the battlefield; right now I have been stationed in Fort Kicht. The enemy, known as the Divine Doves, think they are going to break our will and might. But that's the thing, they can, but if I was the King of this Kingdom I would put more effort into this war. The King we have now doesn't even acknowledge the war. He says it's a waste of time. But no I'm stuck here on guard duty.
The next day comes and we get word that there is to be an attack coming from the west. So I stationed all my men to the left side of the fort. When the enemy got here we easily slaughtered them all 250 of their men. The only reason is cause the fort is a flying one that is positioned in between two mountains; one of which almost circles the fort as the other one blocks the path way to the fort. The only way to get up is to fly.
The next couple of weeks go by, nothing exciting happens. All the men are left to drink and sleep as they please. So I got sent back home on early leave for this tour; nothing like home sweet home. Tomorrow I meet with the council. A group of narcissistic ass wagons that can't decide on what the city needs most; protection or more houses. Honestly I think they should just close the building down and let the city go unchanged for a while.
The next day arrives and I walk to the council building and to my surprise the King is there; it's surprising cause he hasn't been to one for hundreds of years. Well time to speak up for myself. I walk in and sit next to a councilmen who is ranting on the topic of a new building that will withhold our funding... All I can think of is he has a fair point; we should get on that right away. The king rejects the idea and sends the man to death. So I stand up and question his authority. I told him that he has no right to do that; that that man is a free man and should be treated as one. The king didn't take to kindly to my words.
Then out of nowhere everyone chants, "Salovant", an old dragons word for death match, or what some people would call slaughtering, but I call it a chance to power. If I beat the King I gain power and no one can question me over it. So the councilmen, the King, and I go to the fighting arena to settle our differences. The arena doors close, the lights are lit, and the battle arena is set to an odd shaped battlefield. The councilmen grab a set of weapons for us to use; I take the Broadsword, a weapon designed to explode anything it cuts into; the King grabs a spear with razor sharp spikes poking out the side of the bladed part to make it serrated. The fight commences when the horn is blown.
