"Hey Ash, it's coming down hard out there, you think you can take me home in that." I signed. "It's okay. If it's too bad, I'll take you in the morning. Love you, Rachel!" He shouted from the kitchen. I, however was in the living room, looking out the window. "You mean like, I'll spend the night... With you?" I nearly choked on these words. I was so nervous that something might happen. I wasn't sure if I was ready. We had only been dating for about a month. "Problem?" He came up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist as he asked. "Not really. Why would you think that?" I tried acting confident, but he could see right through me. Though our relationship was a month long, we were best friends since the seventh grade. Since we both graduated last year, I would say we came a long way. We both had our own apartments, but we both decided it was too early to live together.
We waddled over to his love seat, his arms still around me. When we sat, me on his lap, he asked me, "What do you want to do to occupy the night?" He suggestingly leaned to the XBOX controller, grabbed it and shook it a little in front of me. I got the hint, but toyed with him anyway. "Maybe we should watch a movie." I bounced off his lap and onto the cushion next to him. He tilted his head slightly and plainly said "Really? You know that is not what I meant." "I know. It's just really cute when you get this kind of attitude." I looked into his hazel eyes, and he my blue ones. Looking into his eyes made me feel as if I was looking into the sun. Not necessarily because of the color, but just the feeling of warmth that rushes through my body. They were so bright it hurt. "I love you, Rachel." My face flushed. "I love you too Ashton Irwin. So let's play shall we?" I said a little more seductive than I meant. "Play what? The XBOX?" he said softly. I playfully punched his arm. "Yes doofus. Turn it on. I'm gonna destroy you now! Get prepared! I DECLARE WAAAAAR!" He giggled his cute childlike giggles. "So I would assume you want to play COD." "Duh! Couldn't I have made it more obvious?!" He giggled again, kissed my cheek and put in the game."You can try but I will always win. Except that one time but it was like two in the morning. " "What are you talking about? It was two in the afternoon and I dominated you by like, double your score." He hated that I always bright this up but it was the only time I ever won against him. "This truthfully is war then, huh?" He questioned.
