Wilmer
I took a sip of my drink and sighed heavily. I don't even know why I came to this club. I'm too old for this shit. I just want to forget about the empty bed that was waiting for me at home, and the empty closet that used to hold her stuff. I just wanted to lose myself and forget about her, even if the ache in my heart would be back in the morning. I felt a hand on my back and turned to see a girl smiling at me.
"You look lonely."
I shrugged, "Just looking for someone to buy a drink for."
She smiled, a pretty face, "What's her name? I assume that she's the one who left you."
I bowed my head, "That obvious huh?"
She nodded, "But, you can still buy me a drink."
I nodded and waved down the bartender who walked over quickly, "Can I get you anything else sir?"
I motioned towards the girl, "Vodka and cranberry." She said with a flirty smile, then turned to me, "I'm Julie."
I nodded, "Wilmer."
The bartender came with the drink and I slid over a few bills.
"So what's her name?" Julie said, smirking over the rim of her glass.
"Demi."
She just nodded, "What'd you do?"
I looked into my glass of amber liquid, "I guess... one day I just stopped trying. She got tired of fighting and I don't know why I didn't stop her from leaving."
Julie gave me a sympathetic smile, "Have you guys talked, like, at all?"
I sighed, "No. We've been broken up for four months and haven't even seen each other. She doesn't want anything to do with me."
She nodded, "But you still love her."
"More than anything. But, she's moving on, going on dates and-" A commotion made me stop talking and while Julie looked up I just stared a my drink again.
"Uhm... you didn't happen to be dating Demi Lovato were you? Like, the Demi Lovato?"
I followed her gaze and my heart nearly stopped. Demi had just walked in with the newest Hollywood star, Nick Brooks, on her arm. My whole body tensed as she smiled at him and he kissed her cheek. Her eyes flitted across the room, but they went right past me. I, however, couldn't take my eyes off her. They began to make their way to the bar and I finally snapped out of it, ducking my head and turning around.
"Voda on the rocks." A voice sounded, "You want one babe?"
"Nick, I don't drink."
I stiffened, it was Demi.
"Oh yeah... we'll have to work on that."
My lip curled up, I want to punch the guy.
"Are you okay?" Julie touched my arm.
"No." I muttered, "I think I should go."
I closed my eyes for a few seconds, then stood up. When I turned around, I smacked straight into the guy Demi was with.
"What the fuck man?" He snarled, shoving my chest but unable to move me even an inch, "Watch where you're fucking going."
I could feel my fists clenching, "Fuck off, asshole."
He stepped into my face and Demi turned around to grab him, "Nick he's not-" She finally looked at my face, her mouth dropping open, "Wilmer?"
My eyes softened, "Hey Dems."
