I groaned as i slowly rolled out of bed. Today was the big day where we headed to Orlando for the basketball tournement. My brother Tyrieque had been playing for this team for about 6 months and he was really starting to improve. The only bad thing about today is that i would have to see mu ex K.J. We had been broken up for about 3 months, but I still dont think i was ready to see him. I just hope this trip isnt filled with drama. "Adrian you got 30 seconds to be down these stairs before you get left." In my opinion 10 in the am is way too early to be up yelling but as you can see my mom doesn't care. "Well goodmorning to you too ma." I quickly did my morning routine and ran down the stairs grabbing an apple on the way out the door. Now we just have to pick up my two best friends Jordan and Monet. As we pulled into their driveway they burst through the door ready to go. We embraced as my brother put their bags in the trunk. As we got in we immediatly started making plans. By the time we leave Orlando wont know what him em.
30 minutes later
I let out a sigh of relief as we pulled up to the park we weren't the first ones there but there was no sign of K.J. So far so good. I didn't really get why we had to meet here before leaving but i have no say so. As we approached the benches Roger the captin and best player greeted me with the usual eww. "Dont get slapped lil boy " I teased. "Play nice" my mom warned. I have Roger a dirty look as i placed our bags on the table. "So where is everybody"?? "Well" Roger started and i could already tell it was going to be something stupid. As if she read my mind Jordan quickly cut him off "the team fool" she said trying hard not to slap him. "Oh well K.J and Asia (his sister) are on the way their mom had to pick up Chardonay,Andrea,and Michelle". As he finished speaking they pulled into the park right on que. "Take me now Lord" I muttered as Jordan and Monet bust out laughing. This is going to be one looooong weekend.
