Kagami and the Lone Wolf (Kuroko No Basket fanfic)

"There's no way he'll like you! Go die, ugly!"

"Ngh.." I opened my eyes and sat upright. "That dream again." I wiped a tear from the corner of my eye away. "No crying. Time for school." I got out of bed and combed my messy hair in front of the mirror. I looked at the mirror and pulled my bangs up to see my silver eyes and white skin. "Ugly." I put my bangs back down and covered my face once again.

I changed into my uniform and brushed my teeth in the bathroom like every other day. After I went down stairs I sat and ate breakfast with my aunt, uncle, and cousin who were my only family left. "So Mizuki, what do you plan to do after high school? This is your second year isn't it? Have anything planned so far?" I bit at my toast and finished chewing. "I'll move out and go to college." My aunt and uncle looked worried at me. "There's no need to rush. You can stay here until you finish college."

I scooted my chair back and took my plate to the sink. "Excuse me. Im off." I pulled on my shoes and walked out of the door way. "Ah! Mizuki wait for me!" Kiyoko quickly gobbled up her food and followed after me. "Mizuki wait!" I continued walking as her light footsteps came closer to me. "Mizu-" I turned to face her and she stopped running. "Don't talk to me in public." I faced forward again and walked towards school while leaving Kiyoko behind.

Every morning I take the long trail towards school. I walked down the dirt road as the gentle wind blew around me. Cherry blossoms filled the air and flowers danced. About ten minutes later I arrived at school. I walked up towards my locker and opened it. I grabbed my indoor shoes that was surrounded by multiple letters. The letters say the same thing every time so there's no point in reading them. 'Die, go to hell, kill yourself, waste of space, ugly.'

I slipped on my shoes and closed my locker. I walked to my classroom and slid the door open just seconds before the tardy bell rang. "Awh and I was hoping that you weren't coming to school today!" One of the most popular guys in the school sat with his feet on my desk and girls surrounding him, laughing at his little joke. "Tieshi don't sit there! You'll get cursed!" They all began laughing again and left my table. I sat in the seat and set my bag aside. The teacher walked in and everybody took their seats and the lessons began.

DING DONG DING DONG

The lunch bell rang and I grabbed my bag. 'My bentou, it isn't here. I forgot it at home. I'll just eat when i get home.' Suddenly the door slid open and Kiyoko ran towards me. "Mizuki you forgot your bentou!" She placed the bentou on my desk and Teishi laughed. "Who is this here, ugly?" Kiyoko began to shout back. "She's not ugly! She's my-!" I raised my voice and interrupted them. "I just dropped my bentou and she's returning it. I don't know her." Kiyoko looked back at me with a worried expression. "But Mizu-" I looked towards Kiyoko. "I don't know you. Now leave." Kiyoko's friend pulled her away and Teishi grabbed her wrist.

"Awh don't go yet cutie." In a second I grabbed Teishi's wrist and pulled it behind his back. "I was pretty sure that she was leaving. Aren't you?" Kiyoko nodded and ran out the room with her friend. "Let go of him you ugly witch!" All the girls shouted and I stared Teishi in the eye with one of my eyes that weren't blocked by my hair. I let his wrist go and he turned around and swung at me. "Why you-!" I moved his fist away with my wrist and it flew towards the teacher who walked in towards the door.

*In the teachers office*

"So why were you two fighting on the second week of school?" The teacher held a ice pouch on his cheek and sat in his chair. "She started it!" The teacher looked towards me with a raised brow. "Did you?" I didn't reply and he sighed. "Teishi, you may leave." He looked back at me after Teishi left. "You're a good student Mizuki. So what really happened?" I looked down at the floor and mumbled. "He grabbed for my cousins wrist against her will.." The teacher sighed and wrote it on a slip. "Thank you Mizuki. You're dismissed." I nodded and left back towards the class.As I walked in I got evil glares from everybody and I sat in my seat.

The rest of the day flew by and I decided to go to the store to buy some candy. I walked in the store and grabbed whatever I could and walked out after paying. As I was walking I heard loud shouting and laughing. It was my school basketball team that was headed towards a street court. As I was walking somebody ran into me from behind and I fell forward. "Eh?!?" I landed on the cement with a huge oof and the girl rushed to pull me up. "I'm so sorry! Are you alright?!" The whole basketball team ran over to the scene. "Riko watch where you're going!" So damn embarrassing. "I think I have a bump on my forehead.."

"Well i cant see if your hair is in the way!" I shook my head and scooted backwards as the girl held a hairpin in her hand. "N-no it's alright! I like hiding my face so there's no need to..." One of the basketball players with red hair walked up and grabbed the hairpin and held me by the belly as I faced the other direction trying to get away. "Eeeek!! No stop it!" He pulled my bangs back and tried to pin it back as I squirmed. "Damn it woman stay still! We're just trying to help you!" He successfully pinned it up while he turned me around and lifted me up but I covered my face with my hands. "Kagami keep holding her, I'll grab her hands" A boy with light blue hair pulled my hands down and everything froze. They both widened their eyes on contact.

The girl named Riko walked up curiously. "Kuroko? Kagami? what's the matte- oh my goodness!" I blushed furiously as the whole team rushed over to see. "You're..." My breath was stuck in my throat as everybody was speaking in synch. "A BEAUTY!" I knew it!....wait....HUH!?!? Riko pulled me out of who I'm guessing was Kagami's hands and hugged me. "You're my new best friend!" I pushed some distance between us and was confused. SUPER confused. "E-excuse me?! you people are nice but I'm not pretty or anything. E-everybody calls me ugly actually.."

Riko and the whole team except Kuroko and Kagami held my hands in anger. "WHO!?" I sweat dropped from the pressure. "U-uh...mostly by everybody at school.." Everybody looked at my uniform and then shouted in synch. "YOU GO TO OUR SCHOOL!?" I nodded slightly and they grew angry again. "We will find these people and kill them!" I sweat dropped again and Riko slammed her fist into her palm. "We'll just have to get you a hair cut then!" What. Is. Happening?!?!?
