Why I am... A Feminist

I am a feminist because I support gender equality.
Some feminists support the fact that females are the dominant gender, and I am sure as hell not one of them. They can believe in what they want, just like everyone.

I am a feminist because without feminism I wouldn't be writing on Wattpad right now.
I wouldn't be going to school.
I wouldn't be able to get a job.
I wouldn't be able to do a quarter of things that men can do.

I am a feminist because female oppression is real, and I may be a white female, but that doesn't mean I can't support something that supports females of other races.
That is like saying, "Oh, you are straight? You can't walk in the Pride Parade. Sorry!"

I am a feminist but I really don't hate men.
In fact some of my best friends are of the male gender, and they are proud feminsts too.

I am a feminist and feminsts have existed for a very long time. And without feminists, who made it possible for women to get jobs, these following women wouldn't have jobs, and wouldn't have made these things:
-STEPHANIE KWOLEK- KEVLAR
Do you have a family relative or friend who has fought in a war zone? If so they probaly wore a thing called Kevlar. Kevlar is an extremely high-tensile and light weight fabric. It is in fact, five times stronger than steel. Kevlar is known for its work in various military units. Its durability makes it bullet-proof and its weight allows it to not hold back the wearer
-MARY ANDERSON- WINDSHIELD WIPERS
Have you ever driven in the rain or been in a car that is being driven in the rain? Well you know those things called windshield wipers that allow you or the driver to see clearly was invented by a woman.

I AM A FEMINST BECAUSE I WANT EQUALITY, NOT THE DOMINANCE OF ONE SEX.

(For more go to meantalfloss.com/19things you may not know were invented by women)

These are a few reasons why I am a proud feminist. Say what you want, I will not change my views anytime soon.
