It took about 20 minutes to get to our new house from the airport.

It was bigger than our house back in Florida with Matt, but not as big as our house here in LA with Dad.

When I first step inside, it looks empty. No wall ornaments, no furniture, nothing. At least we've had the walls painted, so that's one less thing to worry about.

My bedroom is in the basement. A whole floor to myself. No Griffin to generally annoy me. No Matt trying to be my dad. No mum to bug me about school when I go back. Peace and quiet at last.

My bedroom has been painted violet, with a feature wall with a black stave on it, and music notes. I'm hanging string above and below the painted stave. The string will have pegs on, and then I'll peg up pictures from my new Polaroid camera up.

My en-suite bathroom has been painted sky blue.

I love pastel colours and light shades in case you haven't guessed.

Matt's helping me take my furniture down into my room. It's all fitting in perfectly. My bed, my wardrobe, my dressing table, my sofa, my mirror, the fairy lights hanging above my bed.

It was all quite expensive. But luckily, my dad had been giving me $50 a month, since I was four. It was for use in the future. When my dad passed away, my mum took over, which left me with $6,250 in total. I spent $2500 on my bedroom furniture.

I forgot to tell you that I run a vlog channel on YouTube, didn't I? I'm not very well known, but it's fun, so I don't mind.

When Matt has finished arranging my furniture for me, I hear my mums voice calling me from upstairs.

"Len, honey, can you go to the store and buy food for us?" She asks.

"Sure" is my simple reply.

She hands me an envelope, with the words '$100 shopping' scribbled on the front. She then slips a $20 note into my hand along with my $50 for the month.

"Just a little extra" she smiles.

I nod and thank her, then walk into the hall to put my converse on.

I pull the door open, and get out of the house before Matt sees. He'll only ask questions if he does see me.

Half way through shopping, I see a familiar face in the same aisle as me.

"Angela..?" I half whisper in case it isn't her.

She turns around and her eyes widen with shock. It's as if she's been electrocuted.

"Well I never, Lena Mae Tyler." She grins.

I smile back at her and say "hi"

"How come your back?" She questions.

"Mum wanted to move back with Matt-"

"Matt's your mum boyfriend, right?" She interrupts.

"Yeah, he is. And Griffin's my little brother."

"How old?" She asks.

"He's 4, and he's Matt's son." I reply "a little pain in the backside too."

She laughs and I laugh with her.

"I'm sure he's not that bad." She says.

"Try living with him for four years." I grin.

"Fair enough" she smiles "well, I best be going now, I told my mom I'd meet her in 10 minutes. See you around."

I smile and wave before watching her walk off.

Angela Malek is one of my best friends. We used to do everything together, Angela, Lauren, Dani, - Lauren's sister - Elli - Dani's best friend - and I.

Once I get home, I make my way to the kitchen to fill the cupboards with the newly bought food.

My mum comes in just as I am finishing.

"Thanks Len." She smiles.

I nod, walk downstairs into my room and grab my laptop from on my desk.

I lay down on my bed, and sign in to Tumblr and Twitter, before making myself a Facebook profile.
