Run Away

Chapter Four

Day two of my Mum being away from me to work. I really miss her. I saw Ryan woke up earlier than me. That's kind of weird but oh well. Ryan's been acting strange lately.

"Good morning," I said.

He didn't reply. He got ready for school and left me. I was really sad but maybe he'll be better later. I got ready for school and drank some milk because I'm not in the mood of making breakfast for myself. I went to school alone, just like the other days.

I've arrived at school and went to the class immediately. I don't see Ryan or even his backpack. Where did he go? I tried to call him but he didn't answer. I called Austin to ask where he's at right now but he didn't answer too, I guess he was still sleeping. My phone rang and I thought it was Ryan so I picked it up immediately. I made a huge mistake.

"Hello?" I said.

"Hey, I saw you walking all alone just now," the stranger said.

I shivered and froze. I was really scared and Ryan isn't here. I don't get why this stranger always contacting me when Ryan isn't around. It's either he's a coward or he really is trying to scare me off. If he's trying to scare me, then that's a good idea of scaring me because I'm scared as hell.

"Are you there?" he asked. "C'mon, don't be scared," he continued.

"I... I'm not scared," I said, shaking a bit.

"Oh really? Proof it! Meet me in school at 10 P.M and don't be late," he said.

I froze again and hung up the phone immediately. To be honest, I was really scared to meet this guy but I shouldn't. Besides, I have magic now and I can do anything with it. I should practice how to use it properly before I meet him. I can't wait to get home and practice. I could just fast-forward the time but I shouldn't because I don't want to miss all the subjects.

The bell rang, it was break time. I walked towards Austin and I asked about Ryan.

"Austin, have you seen Ryan today?" I asked.

"No, I haven't seen him anywhere today," he said.

Where the fuck did he go? Is he mad at me because I dated Austin or what? Goddammit, Ryan! I should go to Ryan's house first after school to see if he's there or not, after that I'll practice my magic.

When the school was over, I immediately walked to Ryan's house. Austin can't come with me because he had to practice some skating skills to improve his skills. I was a little bit annoyed but I let him practice since I have to practice my magic skills too. Austin shouldn't know about this witchy stuffs.

I arrived at Ryan's house and knocked on the door. His Mum came out.

"Hello, Claire," she smiled.

"Hello, Mrs. Carter. Is Ryan home?" I asked.

"No, he's currently not at home. I thought he's staying at your house," she said.

"The problem is, he got mad at me for no reason and he didn't go to school today"

"I'm sorry for what Ryan did, Claire. I know he didn't mean it"

I sighed and smiled, "well, I have to go now, Mrs. Carter"

"Oh okay. Take care," she smiled.

I went back to my house and started to practice. I practiced at the backyard with a chair. I broke the chair with my powers. It was awesome. I could kill this creepy guy in no time.

**Time Skip**

It's 9.35 P.M and I already got ready to meet this guy in school. My heart was beating fast but I tried to be brave. I walked to school immediately and as I was walking, my phone buzzed and I saw a notification that the creepy guy texted me.

"I see you"

"Yeah, I see me too"

I braved myself to reply that, oh my God. I really had enough with this guy, I want to kill him so fucking bad. He really annoys me. Who the fuck would text you all the time and stalk you wherever and whenever. Why doesn't he just go to school or college or work? Why does he has to stalk a girl every day? What a moron. I'm so pissed.

I arrived at school and I see nobody. I went inside the school and I still see nobody. I wanted to text this guy but I was too scared so I kept walking until I finally found that guy. I walked to my class, just in case if he was there and I was surprised when a familiar guy standing in the class.

"Ryan," I said.

I never thought he would do this. What happened to him? Goddammit, this is bullshit. I was stalked by my own best friend! This is a nightmare, even worse than nightmare. I'm so fucking stressed!

"Surprise, babe!" he evil-smiled.

"Tell me why are you doing this to me?!" I asked.

"I see the future. Your future. I see you dating that dickhead. I tried to stop you but I have to act normal so you won't find out that I'm the creepy stranger you talked about and you won't know that I like you, my plan was a little bit messed up since you dated him. I failed to stop you. But now that I have both of you here, I can kill you easily," he explained.

Did he just said "both of you"? Does that mean he kidnapped Austin? Ryan is so messed up. I hate him. We've been best friends for 5 fucking years and now he's doing this to me? I swear he's mentally ill now. Ugh.

"What do you mean both of us?" I asked.

"Oh Claire, why don't you understand it? Didn't you saw anyone at the library? The place where Austin asked you to be his girlfriend?" he said.

"No, I didn't go there," I said.

"Well, let's take a look now, shall we?" he evil-smiled.

Ryan and I went to the library and when we arrived there, I cried as I saw Austin was tied up on a chair and his mouth was taped and his eyes were closed with a blindfold. I went to him and I opened his blindfold. I cried really hard when I saw his eyes were closed but I refuse to believe that he's dead.

"How could you do this to him, Ryan? You're such a monster!" I said, crying.

"It's his fault that he stole my girl!" he yelled.

"Goddammit, Ryan. I hate you so fucking much!" I yelled back.

I struck Ryan as soon as I turned facing him. Hefell and tried to stand up again. He tried to streak me back but I can get awayfrom his black magic. I threw somebooks at him with my magic to make him weak but he's not giving up yet. He gotreally upset and he used his powerful magic that he has to streak me. I becameunconscious.
