I was 13 when we met. I was walking through the mall and I'll never forget how we met. I walked into Aeropostale, and there he was looking me in the eyes. He was beautiful and at that moment I knew that he was my one and only. As I wandered around the store, my eyes dazed, and some how they landed on him and I suddenly fell in love with everything about him. Something came over me and I suddenly got so courageous, I walked over to him and I was acting as anyone but myself,
"Hey I couldn't help but noticing you noticing me noticing you" I was acting so flirty, even though I'm such a shy little potato, I don't know what happened.
"Hi" He was so shy. Did I come off too strong. Does he hate me now? I can't tell. Maybe I should brush it off-
"Are you ok?" Oh My God he must think I'm so weird, I've been sitting in raw silence probably with the ugliest face, now he thinks I'm a total freak who just walks up to random strangers and flirts with them.
"I'm sorry for bugging you, I'll leave now" I was so awkward I'm just an awkward little potato who is nothing and now I have nothing. He must think I'm a total psycho. I'll just casually walk away.
I started to turn around and got about two steps away from him and all of a sudden I felt a tug on my wrist, it was him. He grabbed my wrist, I turned to him and he said,
" Where are you going? We just met, and I... I don't even know your name."
"Well.. My name is Liza, what's yours?"
"Oh umm... My name is umm, Luke." He was so shy as he spoke, I wonder why. Maybe I could break him out of it.
"Why are you so shy? I've noticed that as you've been speaking, it's ok, I am someone you can be comfortable with."
"I'm not usually not like this..." He was still shy, I have to find out why.
" It's just that... Your... Your just so beautiful. Would you like to get lunch?"
Suddenly, I feel myself stop, I'm so surprised that he actually started talking to me, but now he's inviting me to have lunch with him.
" Of course, I would love to."
We head off to lunch, he asks me where I wanted to go and I told him I wanted him to surprise me. He told me to close my eyes, so I did. He started to lead my way, and it smelt like heaven. I smelt barbecue, I smelt desserts, I smelt an array of flavors.
"Where are we going? It smells delicious."
"You'll so when we get to our seats." He was acting so mysterious. I was kind of starting to like it.
We finally sit down and he takes his hands away from my eyes, I don't know here we are. I've never been to this restaurant.
"Ok, so where are we?"
"We're at Buffalo Wild Wings. Haven't you been here before?"
I hesitate before answering
"I.. I.. No. I've never been here."
"Oh, well I recommend the chicken wrap, it's delicious."
"Ok I'll get that."
The waiters came and took our order, we had a nice time, then left. I offered to pay but Luke insisted on being a gentleman and paying. We walked around the mall for a while and then...
"OH MY GOSH!!" I scream
"What? What's wrong?" Luke replied in a panic
"I... I forgot about my friend!"
"Who is your friend?" Luke seemed very confused
"Her name is Marie. I totally ditched her in the store."
"Ok you call her and she can hang out with us."
"Are you sure? Do you care if she hangs with us?"
I feel so awful. I'm the worst friend ever! I can't believe I forgot about Marie. I grab my phone and call Marie. She answers, and I thought that she would be mad but she was very calm. She told me to meet her in the food court so we could talk. Luke and I walk there and we see her.... Talking to a guy.
