As She's Walking Away

Chapter 3

Bella's POV

I pull up and run inside the school, I can't be near her any more I feel so guilty.

I meet Rose and Em in chemistry and sit down, the class easily passes.

After class Rose comes up to me and loops her arm through mine "are you ready for this?" She whispered.

Emmett already knows she explained it during class by whispering at vampire speed.

I take a deep breath "no, I love only Alice but if this is the only way to get her to see she is my mate and not Jaspers I'll do it."

Emmett gives me a tight hug, "you can do it little sis, I know it'll work out in the end."

I smiled at him almost crying and he kissed the top of my head and I smiled a little, Em can make anyone smile.

"I'll see you at lunch," he says and walks away to his Spanish class.

Rose and I walk into the locker room and get changed when suddenly I'm wafted with the sweet smell of my mate, for that moment pure joy and happiness overwelm me I run to her and squeeze her.

"Alice," I cheered catching myself before I said I love you.

"Hey Bella," she said shocked, "why are you so happy?"

Rose walked up behind us and whispered, "she's got a crush on the new boy Edward Mason."

Since I can also feel emotions I felt Alice's sudden sadness and I felt awful.

"That's good," she struggled to say, "you've been alone too long."

Alice wiggles away and gets dressed and Rose drags us out there.

"There he is," Rose squealed quietly.

I look and there he is the new boy Edward Mason, bronze hair, striking emerald eyes and strong jawline, its not a bad looking guy, I could've had to go with Mike Newton I mean really that kid only thinks of sex (and I should know) he always has his fantasies of me.

Edward looked at me and I heard his heart increase in rate, and I actually feel a mutual feeling towards him I usually hate all teen boys since they are sex obsessed.

For the rest of gym class he keeps staring at me and I glance at him once and a while so he can catch me so he thinks I'm interested when I only want my Alice.

At the end of class Edward walks up to me slowly and Rose pulls Alice away so Edward isn't so scared.

"Uh Bella right," he asks nervously.

"Yes and your Edward Mason," I state and he nods.

"I was wondering if we could be friends," he asked pausing on the last word as if he wanted to say something else.

I wanted to cry, I know he wants me but I want Alice and only her.

"Yah sure," I say, "you can sit with me and my family if you want and lemme see your schedule."

He hands it to me and I read over it, "we have all our classes together, even chemistry where were you this morning then?" I asked

"I was there, I just hide in the back," he said smiling.

I laughed and his heart fluttered, "okay Mr. Sneaky let me get dressed then we will go to lunch."
I get dressed and he met me outside the door as the bell rang and we head to lunch.
