After hours of failing to sleep, I finally got up and headed toward my living room to watch TV. I live in a one bedroom house that I've "inherited" by my parents and grandparents and great grandparents. Its pretty small but I'm okay with it. The living room can be all seen by one step inside the front door. The big plasma TV was hanged up on the wall. A solid black marble table and brown leather couch faced it with a coffee table beside it. The whole room has a twist between the older day's furniture and today's modern furniture.
Why did I have to be this way? How can I've been born a vampire? And am I really the only one?
This thoughts always crossed my mind every night. They haunt me. Though, they always seemed to invaded my mind. And there's only some ways I can erase them from my mind.
As I pasted by a lit blue candle on a coffee table an ocean sent engulfs me. A sent that I loved and calmed me so much.
I sat on my couch and turned on my TV with the remote. The TV took less than a second to load when it when on the news channel.
Ugh! I hate the news! I thought when something caught my eye. I grabbed the remote and turned the volume up.
"Yes, for those of you are just tuning in, a big slaughter massacre has happen here in our beloved and small town of Bakerskinn. It has happen in our one and only bar, Tom's Bar. Everyone that was in there is all died with two punctured holes on their necks. Some say it was an animal attack. Others say it was...a vampires."
I sat up more straighter and alert.
Yes, I said it. Now, we go to you live to Mrs. Waterfall, the nearest by witness," said an Asian woman who looked 48 and had a lot of make up on.
The shot switch to Mrs. Waterfall. She was the classical old crazy cat lady in the town. "I saw them. There was a whole gang of them. They drank everyone in Tom's Bar with their big pointy fangs like a caninse's. It's a sign! A sign from God himself!" the ugly old lady screamed at the screen. "The prophecy is finally coming true!!! Beware, people of Bakerskinn cause YOU might be their next victim!!"
And the screen switched back to the Asian reporter. "And there you have it-"
I switched the TV off and sat there in the sunlight of the sun rising. Could it be true? Can there be more of us? I am not the only one?
And before I knew it, I wasn't in my house, I was in frount of Mrs.Waterfall's small one story house.
