Rhys couldn't believe it. Loader Bot and Gortys had found them. This was totally unexpected. But at the moment Rhys could only run up to Loader Bot to give him a hug.
"It is good to see you." Loader Bot said.
Fiona was the one who went over to give Gortys a hug.
"I can't believe you guys are alive! Actually I can because you four are amazing at fighting and stuff." Gortys said.
"How did you guys find us?" Rhys asked.
"You have a tracker on you." Loader Bot said. "I placed it on you in case you tried to escape from me before I learned the truth."
"Oh, wow. Well it's a good thing you did that then." Rhys said.
There was a sudden thud on their door, then a crash and it was opened without hardly a warning. Mack and Linda were standing with two men carrying guns and were pointing them at Loader Bot and Gortys.
"Do not move robots!" Mack shouted, "Unless you want your electronics to be fried."
"No!" Fiona said. "They're friendly." She moved in front of the robots.
"We don't know that and neither do you Fiona. Step aside." Mack said.
"They're from Pandora. They're our friends." Sasha said.
"Do we look like bad guys?" Gortys asked. "I've tried to be one before and got thrown into a Hyperion jail with Fiona. We did some bad things."
"Hey, Mack. These guys have saved our lives before. They have our trust. You can trust them too." Vaughn said.
"Listen to me. No robot is trustworthy. At any point they could be dangerous. Malfunction, tampered. It's not that hard to do. Especially with old tech like that." Mack said.
"Standard procedure is that we take them both down to Josh to let him take a look at them. If everything is clear I can try to bring them back here. I can't promise that though. It's not my call." Linda said.
Rhys sighed. He was so fed up with all of these procedures. He turned to Loader Bot and said, "Don't worry. Josh is a cool guy. He got me this new arm and eye, so he took good care of me. I'm sure he won't find a problem with you and Gortys."
"I understand." Loader Bot said.
"So we get to meet more nice people? Awesome!"Gortys said.
Loader Bot looked at Mack and said, "Lead the way."
Mack didn't know how to take that. Rhys figured Mack wasn't into robots at all. Rhys wanted to know what his problem was, but they had already left. They didn't hear back from anyone about Loader Bot or Gortys for the rest of the night so everyone had gone to bed. None of them talked about what had just happened because they were all anxious waiting to hear back from someone but finally everyone went to sleep.
Rhys woke up from perhaps the most comfortable bed in the universe. He got up and figured he might need a change of clothes. There was a wardrobe in the bedroom. He opened the door on it and found plenty of outfits to choose from. He settled for the yellow vest over a white long sleeve shirt and black pants then put on a black jacket for it. He was upset he couldn't find a tie that was long enough to fit into his pants so he went without one and walked out of the bedroom to the smell of coffee.
Fiona was already up and she too had changed. She was sitting at the kitchen island.
"Look at us. We're still being Pandoranish. Now we're taking clothes." Rhys said.
"And drinking coffee like we own this place." Fiona said.
"I thought you weren't into taking over big corporations?" Rhys said as he sat down beside her.
"I was trying to relate to you for once." Fiona said.
"I would like to put that in the past." Rhys said. "I want to look at the future."
"The future? What do you see in your future?" Fiona asked as she sipped from her coffee.
Rhys thought for a moment and said, "Oh well, me and Sasha getting married and-"
Fiona spit out her coffee and looked at Rhys with a disgusting look. "Don't talk like that."
"What? I thought you were cool with us." Rhys said.
"I'm not cool with talking to you about my sister marrying you like you already proposed to her. You two are nothing more than a boyfriend/girlfriend thing." Fiona said.
"Alright. I'm sorry. I was just telling you what I thought my future would be." Rhys said.
There was an awkward pause for a moment and then Rhys asked, what do you see in your future?"
"Mine? Making something of myself here on Earth. Work properly. No more conning or criminal stuff." Fiona said.
"Those are some high expectations." Rhys said. "I mean, is it going to be that simple?"
"I don't know, but I'm going to try." Fiona said.
"Well I hope you make it." Rhys said. "You desrve better than what you and Sasha had on Pandora."
"Thanks." Fiona said. "Look, I'm sorry I snapped on you. It's my sister. It's really weird listening to that, but to be honest, I hope your future comes through too."
"Thanks." They toasted their mugs together and drank.
There was a knock on the door and then it opened. Mack walked in and looked at them.
"Well good morning."
"You could had waited for one of us to open the door." Fiona said.
"Well I figured you never would answer after last night." Mack said. "Which is why I'm here anyways." Mack stood on the other side of the island and looked at both of them. "Josh told me last night that it would take a little longer for your robots to be cleared. Honestly I don't know how true that is. I think they're good to go, but he's probably looking at the old tech and imagining what they did. He already recognized the Loader Bot but never saw that kind of skeleton before it's wearing and that Gortys robot is very interesting. It's Atlas tech."
"Atlas tech from Pandora which clearly means she's my property." Rhys said. "And Loader Bot's skeleton is from a project by Handsome Jack and Nakayama, but it saved LB's life and we wouldn't be here if it wasn't for him."
"Why do you speak about your robots like they're human? Like they can feel and understand us? How do you put so much trust into a machine?" Mack asked angrily.
"Because they haven't been given a reason for us not to trust them." Rhys said. "Do you not remember our story? He, Loader Bot, did everything on his own since his sacrifice on Helios. He had no master or whatever. He kidnapped us and hid his identity to get the truth from us about what happened to his friend Gortys which she is perhaps the nicest person I have ever met. So what is your problem with robots?"
