1 ~Will you show me?

I wake up to the sound of the song, "Friday" by Rebecca Black, blasting through my phone. I groan and go over to turn off the song.

Today is the day I get to go back to school from winter break. I hate waking up in the morning, all I want to do is just curl up in my bed and sleep all day, but if I want to do that, I'll have to finish high school and college.

I start to get ready, and I look into the mirror. My brown hair falls past my shoulders and I stare into my hazel eyes, wondering, what's it like to have someone look at you and say, "You are beautiful". I dress in leggings and a hoodie for the first day back. I put my hair into a messy bun and grab my converse.

I go over to the kitchen, where my mom is cooking breakfast, and dad is reading the newspaper.

"Good morning, sweetheart." My mom said. I yawn and go sit beside dad. "Good morning, family. What is on the agenda today?" I say.

"Well today, you get to go back to school! Isn't that exciting? I am going to a meeting in half an hour and your mom..? I don't know what she is doing today." My dad said.

"Well...today I'm going to meet our new neighbor! The family just moved in, I am baking cookies for them so they know that they are welcome here." My mom smiles. She loves to meet new people, and people love her. I mean, who doesn't love my mom? She is friendly and her aura is pure, I swear that my dad protects her from any guy that crosses with her, he loves her so much, that I wish to be in a relationship like that.

"You should come meet them after school, Mia! I think that you can get along with these people!" My mom says. I am terrible of talking to new people, I'm shy and I don't talk to a lot of people. I only have 2 friends and they are the best thing that has ever happened to me. They chose to stay close beside me, even though people told them that I wasn't worthy to be their friend, they chose to ignore it and be with me.

I heard the doorbell ring and I go over to kiss my mom and dad on the cheek.

"Bye! I think that's Rose and Bella. I'll see you after school!" I say. I get my bag and open the door. There stands my two best friends smiling at me. I smile back and pull them into a hug.

"Hello, my friends who are crazy, let us catch up in the car and go to school." I say. We walk over to the car and start driving off.

"Well, I have BIG news. Something happened with me and my boyfriend during break..." Rose says. Rose has a boyfriend named, Garrett, and they have been dating for about a year and a half. I think that they are should stop kissing each other in public because it makes me gag but they should be given the award for "The Cutest Couple".

"What is it?" Bella and I say at the same time. We glance at each other, thinking we have been possessed, then laugh.

"Well...on New Years, I went to Garrett's house to celebrate because my parents went to a party. His parents weren't there so we were in the kitchen baking cupcakes and he made fun of me so I squirted some frosting at him. Then we got into a fight with the cupcakes and then we were standing so close to each other that we forgot about the fight and we started making out and then somehow we got to the bedroom and I can't believe it happened so fast." She says, staring at the road intently.

We gasp for a bit then we squealed like mad men. "Oh my god! I can't believe it!!" Bella says, waving her hands up in the air.

"I can't believe it, too! Bella, now you owe me twenty dollars." I smirk. Rose gasps audibly and glances at us. "You guys made a bet on me?! What was the bet!"

"You see, we made a bet to see how long would it be for you and Garrett to get into his bed." Bella says, pouting realizing she lost. "And I said that Garrett would get you into his bed before we came back to school and guess what? I was right!" I say, high-fiving myself.

We finally get to school and start walking to our first hour. We all had a different class that hour so I was sad about it. I went to my locker to get my textbooks, but when I was heading to class I bumped into something hard...or should I say someone hard. My books fell onto the floor and I cursed quietly, knowing I'll be a minute late if I don't get my butt to class in the spare minute.

"I'm so sorry." I say, starting to bend down and pick up my books but the other person beat me to it.

"No worries." The stranger said. His voice was familiar, but I couldn't put my tongue on it until I looked up to see the school's golden/bad boy looking at me. Oliver Fane. Why did I have to bump into him? He gave me my books back and smiled at me. Smiled. Well I'll be damned.

"Sorry, I have to go to class now, thank you, though." I say, ignoring that his smile almost caused my knees to go weak and started walking to my biology class. I heard footsteps behind me, and they kept coming closer and closer..

I finally reach my class and turn around to see that Oliver has finally reached me but I step into class before he could say anything.

I sighed in relief and sat down for the boring lecture.

After class, I go back to my locker and see that a certain someone is waiting there. He is leaning against my locker and is blocking the way.

"Hello there, I'm sorry but you're standing right in front of my locker." I say, gesturing that it is my locker he is leaning against.

"I know but I wanted to come and see you, Mia." He looks into my hazel eyes.

"You know my name?" I choke, shocked that he knows my name.

"Of course, I couldn't pry my eyes off of you when you came through the front doors." He shrugs.

I want to see the world, I have always been stuck in my own world. I want to go and have adventures and not be stuck in my room, reading all day, even though I enjoy doing that. Maybe, if I ask Oliver, he can show me what the world is like and how to live in it, show me that life is exciting.

"Well that's perfect! I actually wanted to ask you something." I say, looking down at the floor.

He looked surprised at what I said. "Okay..what is it?"

I hesitated, wondering that what if he rejects my request?  Well, you got to take the chances even though you know you'll regret them.

"I was wondering if you would hang out with me and show me what it's like to live a normal life." I say, speaking my mind to him.

He looks at me for a moment and smiles, the look on his face shows that he has something brewing up but I couldn't decipher his face.

"Yes, I would love to hang out with you and show you what it's like to live a normal life...on one condition." I knew there was a catch!

"Okay..what is it?" Repeating his words, when I asked him a question.

"You have to be my girlfriend." He smiles.
