Jade's POV

Whoa! What the heck,and I had a really weird dream, It has something to do with a storm coming to my hometown, I felt that my dream wasn't just a dream, Like It was trying to bring me a message. But anyway, I looked into the board, and then my professor Mr. Evans, is teaching us the history of photography.

"The coining of the word "photography" is usually attributed to Sir John Herschel in 1839. It is based on the Greek φῶς (phos), (genitive: phōtós) meaning "light", and γραφή (graphê), meaning "drawing, writing", together meaning "drawing with light." Mr Evans said.

Wow, this discussion is really bullshit, as my life is, I haven't introduced myself yet, My name's Jessica Adelaide De Vera. I prefer to be called Jade, I don't ever want to be called by Jessica. My life is really bullshit, no one understands me, no one ever, I feel Like I'm Always wrong.

I was looking into the atmosphere and I saw Tiffany throwing a rock at Gail. I feel bad for Gail she has to go through this shit like me.

Mr. Evans was asking a question. "Okay, so who was the first photographer in the world." He asked.

I know I have the right answr, but I just won't tell it, I can hear the class laughing at me like now.

"Joseph Nicéphore Niépce, in 1826 or 1827 The image depicts the view from an upstairs window at Niépce's estate, Le Gras, in the Burgundy region of France." Zoe said.

Oh, i forgot to introduce Zoe Villanueva , she's the one who's flirting with Mr.Evans, and she's a really mean girl. I don't want to talk to her, because of her really bad attitude, I  could sense her instant judgement, looking at my everyday clothes, As If I'm doing a fashion show in Southmoon Academy, Maybe I'm a little judgmental, to her but Zoe wants her life here to be like  her own reality show. Ugh...

This is really getting way out of hand, I'm hating this class, my life is a total bullshit. I just want to live a normal life and be me again. So I took out my camera and took a selfie on it.

Mr. Evans saw me, taking my selfie. Uh-Oh, I'm in big time trouble.

"Shhh..Shhh. I believe Jade has taken a what you kids call a "selfie".... A dumb world for a wonderful photographic tradition. And Jade has... a gift. Now Jade, since you've captured our interest and clearly want to join the conversation, can you please tell us the name of the process that gave birth to the first self portraits." Mr. Evans.
