Shana appears to have summoned a peasant for a familiar. “Who are you, peasant?” She asks Yuji. “Huh? What's going on? Where am I?” Yuji asks. “Don't you understand our lanuage? Where do you come from?” Shana asks. “Wait a minute? What language is that? Strange. . . .” Yuji says. He has no clue about what's going on. “Exactly what I would expect from someone who boasted like you did. To think that you actually summoned up a peasant!” Kirche laughs. Some of the other students laugh with her. “I just made a small mistake, that's all!” Shana replies. “Shana the Zero, she always seems to live up to expectations!” one student says. They all laugh at his joke. Yuji continues to look around him and still has no clue of what's going on. “Hey, wait a minute-” He says, but is interupted by an annoyed Shana. “SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT UP!” she yells. She turns to face Mr. Colbert. “Mr. Colbert. . .” she says to him. “Yes, Shana?” he replies. “Umm. . . can I try that summoning spell again?” Shana asks him. “I can't allow it.” Colbert replies. “But why?!” Shana asks in shock. “The summoning ritual is sacred and it affects a mage's entire life.” Colbert replies, “Trying a second time would be a blasphemy against the ritual itself. Whether you like it or not, this boy has been chosen as your familiar and nothing can change that.” Yuji had no clue what so ever of what they were saying. “I can't understand a word they're saying. But from what they're wearing, these guys are crazy.” he says. He tries to crawl away, but Shana grabs him. “But Mr. Colbert, I've never heard of using a peasant boy as a familiar.” Shana complains. The students begin to laugh again. “I'm afraid that there are no exceptions Ms. De La Valliere.” Colbert replies, “Peasant boy not withstanding. Continue with the ritual.” “Do I really have too?” Shana asks in a whiny voice. “Finish the ritual. Or else I will be forced to sumerially expel you from this academy. “I guess I have no choice.” Shana sighs. She looks over at Yuji. Yuji tries to crawl away. “W-w-what is all this?” Yuji asks nervously. “You should be thankful for this.” Shana tells him, “Normally someone of noble birth would never do something like this for a peasant boy.” “Huh?” Yuji asks. “My name is Shana Francoise Le Blanc De La Valliere.” Shana says. She points her wand at him. “Oh, pentagon that rules of 5 powers, bless this indivdual, and make him my familiar. . .” She says, putting her hand on the back of Yuji's neck as if she was about to kiss him. . . “I don't understand what's going on here!” Yuji exclaims. “Come on, would you be still?” Shana tells him. She then closes her eyes and moves closer to him. “What are you- Wait, no, stop. Get back.” Yuji says to her as she moves closer to him, “What are you- You can't just- Hey, wait, what the-” Shana then kisses him on the lips. “Very well, the contract was been completed, the bond has been made.” Colbert says. “Hey, what was that all supposed to mean? What's going on?” Yuji asks. Then he begins to feel hot. “I feel like I'm burning up. . . Hey, what the hell are you people doing to me?!” Yuji says to them. “It will soon be over, it's just the root of the familiar being burned on to you.” Shana tells him. Yuji's hand begins to crampen up. He yells in pain, then a weird mark begins to appear on his left hand. He then faints. Later on he wakes up in a room, wondering if it was all a dream. “Was that a dream I had just now. . . ?” He asks. He finds himself in a strange room. “So you finally decided to wake up.” Shana says to him. Yuji looks over and sees Shana, realizing that it wasn't a dream after all. “Arrrgh! It wasn't a dream!!” He yells. “I thought about it long enough to get an ulser, but I've given up. I'm going to have you as my familiar.” “Where in the world have you taken me too?!” Yuji yells, “I wanna go home! If you don't take me back, then-” he sees her taking off her uniform. “Wash those then, iron them.” Shana tells him as she throws her shirt and skirt at his face, “You're a familiar. Even if you don't understand our language, you ought to understand that. Yuji then takes the clothes off of his face, but doesn't even know what they are. “What is this?” he whines, shoving the clothes back into his face. “You can't even understand your master's orders.” Shana sighs, “I can't believe he's my familiar. He's worse than a dog.” “Hey, is this some sort of weird seduction?! Who are you?!” Yuji exclaims. Shana is being annoyed by Yuji's yapping. “Arrgh. . . SHUT UP! SHUT UP!! SHUT UP!!! I CAN'T HEAR MYSELF THINK WITH ALL THAT NOISE YOU'RE MAKING!!” Shana yells. Then she remembers about the silencing magic she learned last year. She picks up her wand as Yuji continues to go on about how he wants to “wake up from this dream.” Little does he know, he's actually in another universe. “Okay, think. . .” Shana says, “Ansol. . . Ver, An.” she lifts up her wand. “Notice the tracks and answer my requests right away.” Shana says, “Silence!” she then points her wand at Yuji and then an explosion appears right before him. Yuji is lying on the floor. “What was that, a bolt of lighting?” he asks. He gets up. “I was putting up with all this because you're cute.” Yuji says, “But now I'll have to use force!” “When you spoke, I understood.” Shana says. “Wait, did you just say that you understood me?” Yuji asks her. Shana nodded. “Try saying something else.” Shana says to him. “What? So you can speak Japanese to me again?” Yuji asks her. “I can't believe it, that was supposed to be a spell of silence.” Shana whines, “Failed again. You, what's your name?” “Who? Me? Well, my name is Yuji Sakai.” Yuji replies. “Sakai Yuji?” Shana replies. “Now listen, I think I have a right to know why I was brought here.” Yuji tells her. “I summoned you, of course when I performed my summoning ritual!” Shana exclaims, “You're my familiar, see?” “Familiar?!” Yuji asks in surprise. He the looks at his left hand and it had the mark that he got earlier when Shana made the contract with him. Shana then explains to him everything about where he is and how he got here. “Let me get this straight.” Yuji says, “This is the magical kingdom of Tristain on the continent of Harkiginia?” as he speaks, Shana nods to the questions he asks her. “And you're a 2nd year student at the magical academy?” Yuji asks “I will not allow a familiar to take such informal tone with me.” Shana says, “My name is Shana. Shana Francoise De La Valliere.” “Yeah, right. Whatever.” Yuji repiles, “So I'm supposed to be this familiar that you summoned that all this mages toat around to help them with their magic. That much I know from watching movies and reading manga.” “Why does my familiar have to be a peasant boy?” Shana whines, “I wanted something really cool like a dragon or a griffin.” Shana is frustrated by this fact. Then she notices that Yuji suddenly dissapeared. “Sakai Yuji?” she asks. She looks over at the door and sees it open a little bit. “The familiar ran away? You gotta be kidding!” She exclaims. Meanwhile Yuji was running around the castle trying to find an exit. “I don't know if this is some new colt, or a fantasy novel maniac, but I can't stay in a place like this any longer!” Yuji exclaims. He then comes across two other students, Guiche and Katie, flirting with each other. Yuji attempts to sneak pass them, but is noticed. “It's that peasant boy Shana summoned.” Guiche said. “Oh crap!” Yuji says. “You mean the one from the ritual?” Katie says to Guiche, “It caused quite a stir among the 1st year students too.” “He suddenly fainted and stopped moving.” Guiche replies, “So we all found ourselves caught in an unfortunate bind.” Yuji begins to walk away, but is stopped by Guiche. “Hold on, a moment.” Guich says to him. Yuji turns to pay attenion to him. “Yes?” Yuji replies. “A peasant entroubling the hands of nobility. . . and not even a word of thanks. . .” Guiche says. “Oh. . . well. . . thanks. . .” Yuji replies, “See you around the castle~” As Yuji walks away, he realizes how much of a jerk Guiche is. “What a big jerk.” he whispers. Then he hears footsteps. Fearing that it is Shana, he begins to start running again. After he leaves, Shana stops by. “Shana, your familiar just passed by.” Guiche tells her. “Go and catch him, he ran away!” Shana tells him. “The one you sealed a contract with? I'd expect nothing less from your familiar, Shana.” Guiche replies, “Common sense doesn't apply to it.” “Don't be impressed by it, just help me!” Shana exclaims. “I have no choice~” Guiche replies while shurgging his shoulders. Meanwhile, Yuji manags to find an exit and passes by Kirche. Shana and Guiche then come by. “Ha! Over there!” Shana exclaims, pointing towards the exit. “What's going on? What are the two of you doing?” Kirche asks them. “Oh, just wait until you get a load of this.” Guiche replies. “Enough! He's getting away!” Shana yells. Yuji is now outside the castle and still trying to escape. “What was all that talk about magic? I have to get away from this place!” he exclaims. Just then he begins to float. He yells in fear. “Help me! Somebody get me down from here! I'm gonna fall and be killed!” He yells. “Just give yourself up.” Guiche says to him, “This is the second time I've had to keep you afloat.” “You summoned a familiar that escapes from his master? That is too funny!” Kirche says to Shana while laughing. “So this is for real?” Yuji asks. Then he notices two moons, one small pink one, and a big blue one. That's how he figures out that he really is in another dimenision. “IT CAN'T BE!!!” he yells.
