Ok. Lets get one thing straight here. I am not one of those people who you would call "loved". I am far from that. More like despised or hated actually. Ok. Now on with the story.
I grew up in a little town in London. The only family I have is a sister who lives too far away to call, much less see. I also have an aunt and uncle but I'd rather live on the streets before I live with them. So for now I'm living with a friend. A very good friend who took me under her wing when I was desperate and alone.
*****FLASHBACK*****
I get out of the crashed car just in time to hear sirens headed my way. I don't even check the drivers seat. I only run, I run in the rain until I realize I am lost.
I fumble around in my hoodie for my IPhone. To my surprise I find it. I scroll through my contacts looking for someone who could and would help at a time like this. Then I recognize a name that i haven't seen in a long time. Maria. I quickly call her. No answer. Of course, isn't that what happens in all the movies. No one picks up and then you get kidnapped.
Suddenly, my phone starts ringing. Scared and paranoid I drop my phone. Bending down to pick it up I notice something familiar on the muddy ground. A necklace.

But wait. I'm obviously getting ahead of myself here. My name is Carmen. I had one friend. She was gorgeous actually. Silky jet black hair that reached her midriff. Dark green eyes that could make anybody melt by just one look. While I was over here with simple dirty blonde hair and a pair of blue eyes to match. I'm not necessarily pretty, more like average.
I am 17, I guess you could say I should be living my life. But if you do say that, then you are obviously wrong.
